  2. I have to go to BPS anyway. I didnt know they had them. Thanks Lew.
  3. They are hard to buy Lew. I do most of my shopping online. From Cabelas or lebarons and they dont carry stringease. I was going to order some stuff from stripper tackle and thorns bros but i aint too sure about the duty. I think they make up a $$$ amount when the package hits the border. At this point it is harder to catch muskie gear then it is to catch muskie. How many days do i have left cause i might need them all.
  4. Tybo It is not a swivel it is just a clip made of stainless steel. Is that the one that you have had trouble with? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&hasJS=true Cabela's -- Norman Lures Speed Clip I dont want to try them if the open up. Thankyou.
  5. Yes i am getting ready. I will make a few with the stay lock snaps but i am going to try the speed clips too. If i hook a monster my gear will not fail. I don't know if i will top that one Wayne. What was it 6'6" or 7'.
  6. Ok i will try 130#. Spro solid ring ball bearing swivels 150#. I might try the norman speed clips too. I will test the leaders past the breaking point of the 80# power pro. I am going to order some more muskie stuff. Thankyou for the help.
  7. What # test fluoro should i use to build my own muskie leaders???? . Lets say i am going for the new world record and i don't want to get bit off. I was thinking 80#. Also has anyone been bitten off using fluoro????? Thanks for any help.
  8. WTG. I wish i was there. Real nice eating size. Were they all about the same size?
  9. Nice pics tip-up. I built a motor cart last year. What would you like to know?
  10. Did they find any fish in it? Look they caught a 20'er. Thanks for the pics.
  11. Ok i am ready to go fishing now.
  12. I have some time before opener so i will track down the S-17. You guys are a great help. Thanks.
  13. I called Lebarons last week and they are not selling downeast rod holders this year. They had them last year. Its seems hard to get the bolt on ones. Thanks Smokey i will try there if not BPS.
  14. BPS is a good deal. I guess i will call to see if they have the bolt on ones. Thanks Wayne.
  15. Are the S-17 and the S-11 salty's the same other than the clamping or bolting on part??? They look like they will hold the rod the same. I am thinking of getting the bolting on ones. Thanks for any help.
  16. You best get a short shaft and save yourself some headache. If you have a 15hp then you would want to go to at least a 25hp cause going up 5hp aint going to do squat.
  17. $29.45 for a card and one year sport fishing. I just got mine an hour ago. This is the first time i have had a sport fishing lic. I hope the MNR is happy when they check it on Georgian Bay.
  18. The Humminbird side finder looks interesting. Anyone use one of those??
  19. I would like to see some data on the fish being spooked by the fish finder.
  20. They have had the 3D ones out for a long time but i aint used them. Vanselena how do you know the stronger fish finder spooks fish in shallow water???
  21. Pardon me but. How many more fish is an expensive fish finder going to find compared to a cheap one???
  22. On simcoe people put the single hook with the point on the concave side. That way when the hook hits bottom you dont get as many zebra's or crap from bottom. I would use hook sizes to match the size of the lure.
  23. Thanks Sam.
  24. Thanks for the report on the ice and the fishing. Get back out there and get them. Good luck.
