  1. I have fished fished with sleepjigging , good guy.
  2. Drives me nuts I have my dog on a leash at all times because he is a jerk to other male dogs, but I can't take him hiking anywhere because other dog owners have their dogs off leash . There always like "don't worry he is friendly". And I'm like. " mines not he will eat yours".
  3. I find Rogers internet speeds are far superior in most areas. 1 gb/s in my area ... if anyone's interested in switching from blue to red drop me a pm. I've worked for Rogers for almost 10 years.
  4. Love how dark it is.., nice fish man.
  5. Ha, that's part of the game with brookies, we just did a hellacious hike yesterday had to break trail in waist deep snow for 3 km for one fish. Wouldn't trade it for the world. The harder to get to the better the fishing generally , but when brookies have lockjaw there just plain not going to eat. Also allot of Brookie lakes are no live bait just as a heads up.
  6. There was a "stumpy" when I swam with them too in Bahamas. They Said she was a bad girl that's how she ended up stumpy. There cool , feel kinda like raw chicken on the underside.
  7. Anyone ever ice fished the French or port a' baril. I'd like to speak with you via pm.

  17. My fathe inr laws friend shot one , it was in the tree above the kids play set just outside smiths falls. He had tried calling Mnr as he had sighted it a few times. They said no such thing. They showed up a few days after he shot it looking for the raido collar it was wearing.
  18. I guess you will have to sell that boat to me then, not only do I have a merc dealer down the street but it's in my mind one of the best rigs out there.
  19. Thanks for all the kind words guys , I'm going to mount this one it will be my second attempt at taxidermy will pst pics when it's done. These ones were jig and 3 inch shiner if I were targeting pike I'd use a bigger minnow hooked through the back on a tip up about half way to the bottom. I did see a monster pike swiming under the hole on day one was cool to sight fish him but could not get it to commit.
  20. at Christmas a few of my family members asked me if I wanted to go on an ice fishing trip with them. I was excited as a few of them had never been. The tough part was planning a trip with short notice and not much safe ice around. Gave a call short notice to Tama-qwa on south shore of nip. was recommended by a member here and they were more than accommodating. Great small operator to fish with,, and has a sweet arrangement with Terrace Suites in Calander. day 1 Picked up a the hotel bright and early by Nikko a quick drive to his place and he ran us out to the huts . We had fish within minutes. The day was steady with a walleye every half hour, With some pike and perch mixed in. 3 pm rolled around and it was nonstop action till 6 . Lost count of how many walleye many double and triple headers. Fish were suicidal. Nothing huge smallest was 14 biggest was 17.5 it was almost a joke by the end we just wanted to unhook and get back down to the bottom for another fish. It was so much fun so share with a few rookie fisherman. I've never whitnesed anything like it . We lost a few keepers but none were iced on day 1. By our best guess we landed 40-50 walleye. And lost many more. Headed back to the hotel for a nice steak dinner in the attached restaurant. Day 2 Hot breakfast , pickup by Nikko we all had high hopes from the day earlier but we had to leave at noon so we knew we would miss the evening bite. The fishing was a little slower we had to work the fish harder to get bites but ended up with a few and my new PB walleye 10 minutes before we had to leave. 28.5 inches and 9.75 lbs. Fish were caught on lures but the hot item was simple jig and shiner. Fish were light biting and didn't really strike just felt like dead weight. They were so tight to bottom we rarely marked the fish we were catching . Just the occasional bump on bottom. Anyways here's the fish porn. We just wanted one to eat First ever walleye A cool shot Nice pike And my new PB To put in perspective me and my cousin are 6'3" and 6''4" Needless to say I think we were spoiled a bit !
  21. Are you open to interior camping or strictly car camping?
  22. Not as bad here as it is on spoonpullers. I'll give hot lures but never fow and port of call on that site again. Battle boats the next day, and my boat is fairly conspicuous. I'm in agreance smaller lakes should not be named on the Internet. Read my signature.
  23. Nice didn't know that. I will be using it in open water too I ve had no issues with the regular ducers in the past through the ice.
  24. Thanks for the heads up I just grabbed one at local store for the ice / tinner duty little trouble getting them to pricematch. nice upgrade from the old piraña max.
