I hear ya Brian. I like the solitude and scouting side of deer hunting But the waterfowl stuff is way more social and a heck of allot more shooting.

Sure is allot more exciting than deer hunting

Just started waterfowl hunting and I'm totally addicted after goose hunting for a week and duck hunting this weekend. Live in Kitchener have a Boat and a few decoys just seeing if there is anyone local who would want to meet up / split gas to hunt.

Beauty fish . Some monsters In that fishery skis , pike, walleye and bass. Problem is it all looks fishey.

That's awesome I'd love to catch one from a kayak. Please put a big flag on your kayak . You guys are really hard to see untill the last min during dawn and dusk.

On that note I've always wanted to try and get a salmon on slip float and live minnow.

Convector30 reel TDR rod.. 50 lb braided line or multitsrand steel. Dont buy crap at ctc. It will explode on the first decent fish.

You can count pulls of line in a pinch when sending out dipsies. Each pull is about 2 ft . But to get down 50 ft you will need about 200 ft of line out. Not fun on mono trying to trip a to dipsy with that much line out. You have braided steel or single strand?

I get the hebejebes just having my probe down. They look cool I like the undulating thing too bad there soon expensive and unreliable.

I like long leads for kings with flashers. 9 ft or so. With spoons I run 6-7 ft. If the lead is too short on the flashers I do t get as many strikes.

It's hot humid with a chance of thundershowers. It's southern Ontario after all. I use Wind finder and sailflow. But I'm more concerned about wind .

Be nice to have a ramp somewhere near port union.

Camped at Long Point for the weekend with the family . Wind wouldn't let us get to our spots but we made the best of it. Probably my last green carp outing of the year

Bring minnows and leeches. We fished mostly in the western end of the lake. No clue in July where the fish will be I'm assuming in deeper holes.

Nice can't wait for the pics. We're headed up to nipigon again next spring and can't wait.

Was one at long point today leaving causeway. No issues, cooler check livewell check I was on my way no interest in other hatches or in my truck. Glad they are out hope they nailed a bunch of poachers and I bet they did
