  1. Home hardware has them also... They work good we had one at the lakehous growing up and def. helped in the winter.
  2. My boat caught 144 Chinook , 23 coho, 63 rainbow, 8 Browns and 1 Atlantic. in the last 2 years on Lake Ontario . Time to ditch the Atlantics. I like coho and rainbow but I find the chinooks the most predictable, and easiest to catch.
  3. Wish I could make it never fished st Clair.
  4. Yep September hours.. reason there's a line up is because it's a great ramp. And Russ is a good dude once ya get to know him.
  5. I'm still hoping for another trip the weekend after this one but will be out in 250-300 hopefully looking for some meat to fill the freezer for winter.
  6. Chris Brock and Ckewely met me down in the hammer around 4 but it Was nasty out on the big lake, So we fished the Hamilton harbour . None of us had done this before and we had low expectations. The graph was nuts I wish we had a picture, but we couldn't get a bite for the first 40 min. We switched some baits up end ended the day 1/3. Not bad for 2 hours fishing Nice evening to be out on the water and a tank 28 lb salmon . This fish had all sorts of tricks up its gills , swam past the boat, played dead, wrapped the rigger cable. A quick pic and she swam off to do her business.....on that note what business is she doing in Hamilton harbour anyways...dumb salmon. Pleasure getting out with you guys, next time hopefully the weatherman cooperates
  7. Welcome to the board, we're all a bunch of weirdos but we somehow manage to get along.
  8. Unless your in the market for 8 new rods n reels and a new boat ....don't....it's highly addictive. There will be some familiar faces in this report, let's hope the fish cooperate I have been swamped at work and haven't been out in a few weeks.
  9. Seats filled, report of monster Zalmons to follow.
  10. Have Seats open for Thursday, afternoon/evening. Boat is In Hamilton will be fishing bronte. All gear I have you just need a fishing licence.....2 seats available.
  11. Don't put your setup in a cheap rod holder. Dipsies pull pretty hard..... Id run a 10 colour lead and a some dipsies if rod holder situation allows.
  12. It had the stock michilins on my f150 LTE at2 or something...,,garbage..got stuck on wet grass....swapped out to general grabbers and couldn't be happier they are even snow rated. 60 k on them so far and there only half worn.
  13. Some people love snubbers I hate them....unless it becomes a "thing " where it's happens often I wouldn't worry. I'd guess your drag was a little to aggressive . I loose a flasher a year I'd say usually on the first hit when my drags are too tight. I had a first a few weeks back...fish pulled the spit ring attaching the treble on a mag spoon.....????
  14. I use 50 on my Flys. ..bead placement is also important when rigging Flys to stop cutoff from teeth. Check for knicks after each fish. I use 30 lb between flasher and dipsie. Tight drags will cause more break offs than anything.
  15. Those fish look so slender and muscular, Not like the gross blobs of laker we get down on Lake Ontario. Nice going.
  16. Nice, the Huron fish seem a bit ahead of the lake o fish as far as colouring up.
  17. Eeeeep....thanks for the report. I haven't been up since October and water levels were super low then.
  18. I have canoe....will travel.... Nice day out bud.,, I haven't touched the specks since May and your giving me the Jones..
  19. Nice one, Good to hear things picked up a little after our chat. we tucked our tails at 11
  20. She came for the nice boat ride today.....she actually likes fishing.
  21. I was under no illusions, I knew what I was getting into. Beats painting the kitchen ...that was my other option for today.
