Flew electric foamies for a few years with my oldest boy but the thrill wore off. Still have a Formosa and a heavily modified cub hanging in the basement. Might put floats on the cub and take it to the cottage next summer for the middle boy, should be fun!

They're not bad, I have the mid size in my jacket pocket at work. So far I haven't been able to break it. I bought it specifically because despite the name it wasn't too tactical, and just had hi low and pulse, with no face masher on the back or around the lense.

Lol... That's true, the old 3D mag is the most "tactical" flashlight out there.

Why tactical? Costco usually sells a 3 pack of "tactical lights" for $20-25. I have some older ones that didn't have all the bells and whistles, and they are still going strong. I wish they'd bring in some more non tactical flashlights..

They are a plastic tarp like material, not canvas. I used one many years ago. I didn't find it that great, and I stopped cheaping out and spent $30 on a Minnkota drift bag.

I love my nucanoe, but it is boat number 3 In the fleet. If it where my main rig, I'd stay with the scanoe. They're a great boat!

I have a nucanoe frontier. I had it loaded down the other day with 2 dozen duck decoys, a few geese, a trolling motor battery, trolling motor, camo for the boat, my milk crate full of extras like anchor, tool kit, safety gear etc, my hunting box with shot shells and calls etc, then my 240lb can in the boat. It took me down the marsh at 3.5mph on GPS, was incredibly stable in that I can easily stand and paddle to set decoys, it hides like a dream and when ducks where shot I could use the kayak paddle to quickly nip out and get them. It's great for fishing as well, and I can easily fish with me and one of my kids. It's pretty much the ultimate kayak from where I sit and I'm loving it more every year. Sail carries them, there around a grand. Something to consider.

I've seen it on another guys boat. It's very cool , In that you can tap the waypoints on the screen to create a route, and control your motor from the HDS. I don't have lowrance on my boat, so no link, but if I did, I'd probably do it for the couple hun in cost.

I have a Minnkota drift sock that was pretty cheap and works well. Less hassle than dragging a weight. My 2 cents

Give it a try, you'll see what I mean. If you don't like it , it's 2 minutes to put it back to factory. They are floatation cushions. They will dry like a life jacket and are handy if you end up in the water by accident. Don't legally replace life jackets though.

Scumbags. They could kill someone. I once had a "hunter" slash 2 of my tires many years ago in a county forest for hunting "his spot". I'd far rather that than loosened wheelnuts. At least the guy who did me in didn't try to kill me.

Unbolt the front holders, put the butt of the oars into the rear holders and then bungie them to the front bench. I took a grinder to the top of the aluminum frame of the front holders to remove the sharp edge. It just needs a tap or 2 with the wheel to round it out so you don't get caught on it. I have the exact same boat for a duck boat. Except I have the split benches at the rear. Westmarine sells camo floatation cushions and that's what I use. I got them down at the one in oakville, there is another location in Barrie. Just a thought. If you remove those front rod holders, the back ones make handy dandy places to stick your oars and push pole. Just bungy them to the middle bench at the front.

I've been pretty happy with the seaguar yellow box. In surprised you've had issues. I use it for almost everything leader related. I've used their Abrazx branded stuff, and that's junk. If your looking for a change, I've used sunline fluoro for steelheading a fair bit, and it's pretty durable stuff. I find fluoro terrible as a mainline, and don't use it at all, just a long leader if necessary.

Mine is buried in the shed under a mountain of goose decoys. It'll have to wait a bit!

I have a. 500 touring liquid. It's a great sled, but I got a family deal on it. If I where buying off the rack, I'd probably go with a fan. Don't matter though, I have an atv for low/no snow conditions!

Go with a Polaris fan. One thing Polaris does well is make sleds, quads not so much.

Mine was special order. You can get fire line tracer at canadian tire, but the way they meter is different and not as good from my point of view. The tracer they have at my ct only comes in 40lb test. Better than nothing I guess.

Maybe selling them for that price, but I doubt they will get it. I have seen em sell for $100 on walleye central. There is an app for that now lol. I think I'll keep mine.

It's not a must, it's just a handy feature. I can drive the boat, fiddle with sonar, and click the flipping switch with my thumb to drop my bouncer an additional 5 feet to account for depth change, and I don't have to turn the handle on the reel which works for me as I use downeast holders mainly. Your mileage may vary.

Cheap and effective? So far I'm liking the 2 garcia silver max reels I got. No idea how well they will hold up long term though. They cast as well as a shimano citica, can be had for $60-70 on sale and seem to so the job pretty well. I bought them just for my bottom bouncer rods, but used them as casting rods at the cottage a few times when we where just doing a quick overnight and It was too much hassle to pull the boat with all my gear. So far so good. Added bonus is the flipping switch, which is great for letting out line one handed when bottom rigging. Second choice, Citica. A little more money,but very reliable.

They don't? I have 2 that say otherwise. I agree the sealines are a better reel, but the accudepth has been pretty good to me for the buck. Mind you I still have a cheap rapala line counter that hasn't imploded yet, so I must be good at finding unicorns. Admittedly the rapala doesn't see much use though. I've used the accudepths pretty hard and late into the season with no real issues.
