  2. well it is still as clear as mud and I am hoping they state that they are only needed when you leave it on the ice overnight, when they reply to my email but till then we must register them..I guess

  4. our thoughts are with him
  5. that is not what they are saying now the have stated and used the word tent and portable people send an email to the mnr tell them it is stupid here is the spot on their website to email mnr email feedback here are the regs Q3: Why is there a need to register ice huts in some of the new FMZs? A: Ice hut registration is now required in zones 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20. Many individual lakes or districts currently require ice hut registration. Registration at a zone-wide scale and the setting of standardized ice hut removal dates were introduced to make it easier to determine where ice hut registration and removal dates apply and to assist with enforcement. Ice hut registration assists Conservation Officers to ensure all ice huts are removed prior to ice break up by enabling them to identify the owner of the ice hut. * In this Zone, only a few waterbodies are open for winter fishing – see Additional Fishing Opportunities for Zone 17. • You do not need to register your ice hut in Zones 1-8 and 13. • You do not need to register an ice hut if it is a tent made of cloth or synthetic fabric that has a base area of two square metres (21.5 square feet) or less when erected. • Ice hut registration numbers must be at least 6.3 cm (2.5 in.) in height and clearly displayed on the outside of the hut. • Whether or not an ice hut removal date applies to your Zone, it is an offence under the Public Lands Act to leave your ice hut out after ice break up.
  6. on simcoe I think it is still free to register them however to get a tent company to make up a set of numbers on the same material and sow it on is $150.00 LOL
  7. yes at this time this is what they are saying my two man clam is 35 sq ft it seems stupid but it is the government
  8. well looks like the ice is coming along, wish there was a little less cloud cover for a better look but here it is <a href="http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c52/Mrbeee1954/?action=view&current=snow-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c52/Mrbeee1954/snow-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> I will wait a while before I venture out
  9. I didn't say I was any good at setting the hook....LOL
  10. let see you got one reply warning you about bug, I assume he doesn't have an answer for your question but told you what he knew about the bugs and one guy who posted about a running joke....sorry it meant nothing to you your post was up for one day..sorry we are not fast enough for you maybe fish ontario website. will suit you better.....good luck and I guess good bye
  11. yeah but if you are going to a back lake for a week you can only carry in 120 which equals 17 minnows a day for the trip on simcoe when the perch are biting that would last you less then an hour
  12. that's great
  13. Bernie aka Nipissing ok that clears up a few things..I can't keep up with all the name changes...LOL have a great day
  14. well my parents have VOIP, internet and tv all over the cable when they had the power outage they couldn't call couldn't watch tv could get on the internet....they were not happy campers and switched back to bell, old people like to know they alway have phone access
  15. that's good now if we can get the stupid 120 minnow limit even when bought from dealer reversed I understand the limit when you catch your own minnows but not if you buy them..what the heck are they thinking
  16. well if you had clicked on the link I gave you would see a price of 299.99 and that's the best price in canada that I have seen and as long as you take the time to learn how to really use it you can see a little 1 inch. tube and 1/32 jig head and fish come up and bite it...you need to set the sensitivity and colorline just right and you can play with ping speed too but I like mine in 10ft of water for perch and 90ft of water for trout..
  17. I am sure you mean 2 amp or 12 amp not volt if you think they might be frozen or all but charged ,use the lower setting but if they are down a lot and not frozen then use the high setting, most chargers these days are smart chargers and will knock the amps down once they reach about 80% of full charge but after about 6 hours you can put it on the 2 amp setting to finish topping up the charge
  18. that's a really nice boat you picked a good one don't let Brian do any welding on the front seat pole
  19. just so everyone knows morning starts at 5:30 am everything before that is night..so you should be saying good night not good morning.......LOL
  20. lundboy gave you great advise it is stray RF the gives you noise and flicker, where form the electric motor or from the electrical system in the outboard and the ferrite chokes work well as do bigger capacitors if you have an aluminum boat it is best to have fuses on both the pos and neg and to not use the boat as the ground
  21. well it looks fine and I like lund boats but they are new, so ask me again in 5 or so years and I will give you a good answer
  22. Happy Birthday
  23. well I think it's a throw back to when people used an axe or spud and sat in a fish hut in one location for the whole winter now with gas augers snowmobiles portable huts, it may be time to change the rules
  24. yup but it is in the fine print on that page but still with our dollar and free trade, it is BPS taking us for every cent they can
