  1. Nice report. Looks like your doing well up there.
  2. I thought that was cool to look at. You had some great days out on the water. We should all do something like that. It seems that all the days on the water seem to blend together and I cant remember which day was which. My favorite poem that made me laugh..... Perch "Get the skillet and the butter Ill go call my Dad and Mother Hi I got the butter in the hot skillet So come on over and have some Perch fillets"
  3. Good stuff. Best looking guy on OFC right there folks !
  4. I think selling it would be illegal ? I think you mean " donate " some un-cured roe.
  5. Your the man Aaron ! A true die hard.
  6. Good job on the family and fishing.
  7. You should be very proud of the strength that your family has. Keep doing what your doing. I will " howl at the moon " for ya.
  8. Great job, braving the weather. Something about purple that drives them wild.
  9. Im looking for a decent split screen gps/fishfinder. Any suggestions on pros and cons of different models/styles. I dont want something that will break the bank. Say, $600.00? All opinions welcome. thanks
  10. Next time you go there can I come ? Nice fish ! yer killin me
  11. Im sort of on the fence with this one. I feel that if you are fishing very spooky trout in frog water, The light tippets definetly out fish mono leaders. Too many times have I switched to a small 3 # tippet after the morning bite has stopped and it has acounted for a couple more fish. Spooky smallies will also hit a light diameter flouro over mono. Other times I use a 65 # braid straight to a jig and the fish dont seem to care, even in the clearest of water. I think that flouro has its time and place. Just not all the time. Good debate guys
  12. Sorry for your loss. I hope you cherrish the great memories for many years.
  13. I just went through this whole thread and just realized how young I really am......or how old you guys are ! Irishfield......Thanks for the Cat Stevens I loved that. Heres a bit of a modern day cat. Please give it a listen guys and provide feedback.
  14. If you go to Grove City Pa its well worth it. There is a huge outlet mall there that has some amazing deals (1/4 the price). There is also a fishing store just down the street from the outlet mall that has great prices and selection. Google Grove City Outlet mall.
  15. Welcome to the "South". We really are blessed here in Ontario. Great recap of your season. Im lovin those big pike.
  16. All very good points. I use both but mostly net. On a side note now that we are talkin tying roe....Fabricland carries something called knitting elastic. Pick up a couple rolls of this stuff. Its exactly the same as spider thread at 1/4 the cost. One roll will last forever.
  17. Solo Small moters in King City. On King rd. just west of yonge st. great prices and service. they may even throw in a few extras.
  18. I can only imagine what will happen in Montreal this Sat. night if GSP looses. I have a bad feeling about this one.
  19. Watch out steelheaders. Theres a new kid in town ! Great job kid. And great job to Dad
  20. Thats what I figured. And that was my point. Your the one that caught all your clients fish. They just reeled them in for you. Anybody can reel a fish in. But can they catch them ? No, thats why they hired you. Keep up the great work out there and good luck on the hard water this year.
  21. Right now I am using a 7ft2" Extra heavy Shimano Crucial. I love this rod. Its paired up with a 200 Curado. I can pull big bass out of the nastiest fallen trees with ease. Contrary to the advise that has been given on this thread, I say go big. You wont want to throw into the nasty stuff with a wimpy rod. Stick with the braid and dont use a flouro leader with this style of fishing. Way to much shock on the hooksets. Go with 50-65#
  22. Some nice fat fish !
  23. Great fish ! With all that time on the water Im surprised that you havn't hooked one bigger than 11.2. That place is really a factory.
  24. You have beautifull eyes !
  25. Just an update from my favorite fishing month of the year. A couple of steelhead days provided double digit days. White knuckle driving in a snowstorm to my favorite pike lake last weekend got us some respectable fish for the last "up North" trip this season. There still may be a few trips before Christmas. I will keep you guys posted. enjoy the pics.
