Bought a New Fishing Machine Today
discophish replied to Mike the Pike's topic in General Discussion
Nice Boat! Remember, it's not the length, but the girth ... and how you use it that really counts. Hehe. Awesome. Bet you can't wait to get out! You will love the stability of that boat's width. -
Out with the old and in with the new - NF

Congrats! Now all the car needs is a tail to wag for your boat to chase around! -
Columbia River Knife and Tool: CRKT Mirage. I have never owned a better knife.

Hey John. Thanks for sharing the images. I hope all of the business aren't overly affected from this flood. Good thing your parents are elevated. I have been zooming past your parents house for 32 years now ... and finally see that route from a different angle, unfortunately under water. I hope the spawn won't be affected in the spring. I have that gas station to be thankful for when I had a bad kayak accident on the Magnetawan, driving south in the Jeep trying to get to the hospital and almost passing out. They called me an ambulance and kept my gear and Jeep safe for the night. I hope they are ok. Did CC Kennedy go under as well? ... what drives me nuts is a leaking boat.

I recently bought myself a Dragonfly heli. Good thing I started with an electric bird, because if I had started off with a gas bird it would have been a costly crash . I wish my Jeep had remote control, it would be helpful when launching the boat on my own. I will start planning that concept. Should make me rich ... like Hasselhoff.

I always thought a "Bearing Buddy" was a stuffed animal bear. Man, I was way off! . Thanks for How-To-Do, it has reminded me to pick up a pair for next season. I have yet to upgrade, and now I have been informed! Very useful post and nice job putting it together. -
Bly and CCMTs Year in Review - Part 2: Summer/Fall 2007
discophish replied to ccmtcanada's topic in General Discussion
E-gads! That's fantastic! Both of you have done such an awesome job. If it's fishing, it's Moby Dick. If it's hiking, it's Everest. If it's swimming, is across the Pacific. If it's cold, you have the knack to make it warmer. The social realm that has transpired from something you are so passionate about is even more rewarding. Congrats! Btw, I have never heard of anyone invent their pfd buckle strap as a lure seen in the Scugog shot with the LM. Man, you're always on fire -
.... the red pill or the blue pill? Your wife forced the blue pill on you ... because the Matrix does not exist even though you beleive in it ... and it's your turn anyway to do the dishes and take out the garbage. It's only fair.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. My condolences to you and your family. That is a terrific picture of her, and represents a great life.

When I post a report, I usually compliment the composition with a couple photos, epecially if the catch exceeds the 100 lbs range. If I hooked 'er good in the mouth with a good hookset, and she shows me some good moves in the weedbed, and comes out a trophy, I won't hestitate to show a pretty head. But if I end up hookin' 'er in the arse, and she get's all tangled up in my prop, I cut the line and let 'er lose. Don't show the pictures where you have shanked 'em in the eye.

Excellent job. Nice to see those Crappie being caught. Are you sure that the Crappie didn't threaten you for invading their privacy ... and demand that you blur out their picture? Because some of them are crisp images, and I can see their faces relatively easily ... man, aren't you in trouble. You better wear a life jacket next time you visit that water again, because I know from personal experiences that they can put up a great fight. You just may end up in the water. I bet they are looking at these photos as I type.
-
Congrats the the PB's once again! Your strategies and methods are very effective, you can almost publish a book now with all of your impressive experiences. Bly has conquered you once again ... remember what I said long ago about the the lure alterations and suspicious scenting ... <nudge>.

A Little Information about the Drowned Kayaker
discophish replied to Steve's topic in General Discussion
I'm sorry to hear of such a tragic accident. I heard about the sad news this morning and felt a sense of familiarity with how it's like to be on rough waters in a kayak. I paddle white water in a 6 foot playboat, and follow the read of the kayak communities, and there are always tragedies. We love what we do, and people will remember the passion that Serge kept for himself and others that experience with him. He enjoyed his life and lived it well, and is honored and highly regarded in many ways. -
Steelheading Sun/Mon Another Banner Trip!

Great job! I love the colours in those fish. You just may have insipred me to get out on the rivers. The boat thing just isn't working when ice is covering the lakes up north. -
Nice fish and well done. The first photo looked more like our weekend, but instead we couldn't even launch the boat because of the ice on the lake in Haliburton. Good to see people getting out still.
-
Astonishing! Great job you two! My eyes just kept on getting bigger the further I went down the post. Wow! And you have larger ones to show off!
-
Have the egg sack sponsors contacted you yet? 8-) Excellent job! I have never had a day like that in my life. Very envious.
-
Congrats! Looks like you guys had a blast out there. The fish are always the added icing on the cake.

Fun report Cliff. Sorry about the skunk. Scugog can be good at times, just gotta keep on trying. Seems like the skunk is getting around. We spent all last weekend at Elephant Lake Lodge in search of the ol' zig zags.... and our skunk couldn't have stunk more. Done with them Muskie for the year! Congrats on your boat purchase btw. Looking forward to those 60 lbs Pickerel you will catch and report.

-
Congrats to your musky. Great lookning fish. And all by 7:30am. I can't even get myself out of bed before 9. Argh!

Excellent job! It such a rewarding feeling when a plan works out well, even it you lose them from time to time. At least you were on the fish and in the area. Congrats to your PB musky! Good job with the Chinook as well. It's a huge fish!
