This winter I have only gotten out ONE time so far on Sturgeon and it sucked. This weekend my Mrs and my boy are going to visit my parents (at a lake) and I don't plan to bring my gear for that visit tomorrow due to ice safety and how far we would have to walk. So far this winter I have either won or purchased some new fishing toys but yet to use them *sigh* and I am thinking of already selling them UN-USED! It sucks!

Pull the MB off the case and see if the card will install on it when not in the case. If it does then yes you may need risers for the MB. Most cases now do not need risers, it's been YEARS since I have seen them needed but times change...

When I won the Clam auger drill plate (on a facebook fishing page) it was ordered from Cabela's on the 12th and I got it on the 14th. So, who knows. But out of the 3 different items that I have won they came from them and it was pretty quick.

I know a guy who swore by the Milwaukee heated gloves and jackets years ago. There might be other brands out there that are good but he was very impressed with them.

If you don't fish on the ice why comment in the manner you have to compare it to a drunk driver???!?? We all make mistakes (on ice or in a boat) as I am sure you are far from perfect. We all are and his post was a good read and reminder for some... Take it for what it is, a lesson learned and shared.

I just won one of these on a FB auction page (only cost me $10!) so one never knows. I have my 6" manual and 8" gas unit so... who knows. I may need a new drill 1st LoL!

The Lindsay area also got that mix of rain, ice pellets and then snow. I have at least an inch of the 'hard stuff' on the driveway still that isn't coming off with a shovel. Yes it is slower here since sites like FB but this core group is what brings be back daily. We have a true passion for fishing as a whole, not just 1 season. We share and help each other when we can. Thanks Nick for the rant and I DO get it.
