So I got out fishing with my lady and my boy on the weekend. We all got fish too! The MRS win's with a keeper walleye and the biggest at 23" that had to be let go. The one of my son sort of blurry was him on the hookset, lol

This is my 1st attempt last weekend at porkbelly. YES I am going to make it again. Smoked slow and low at 220*F for 3.5 hrs and with apple and black cherry wood for the smoke.

This is Lloyd's set up for line, looks like mono on some and leadcore on others. As for the 'gew' me I am not sure. But I also run heavy mono on my line counter reel.

So, yesterday you inspired me to fire up my smoker Mr B. I did rib's yesterday and today is a 14" x 14" slab of pork belly (that I have never done before).

Thanks Chris. Yes all places/towns have high volume traffic times and I an not going to be riding often in those times. My ride is all about weekend adventures with the MRS and getting to work and back here and there. Edit to add: My MRS has been riding for a long time and will be my "wing-person" so to say and we have open communicators while traveling.

It's home and all the toy's fit in the garage too! I will fully admit that YES I did stall it 1 time on Angeline heading North being stopped on the hill at a red light at Colborne St W. Otherwise a safe and good ride home from across town.

Took my M1 test today and passed with flying colours. In a few weeks the weekend long course.

So a lot has happened in the past 6 years for me and now here I am. By that I mean a newer relationship and new hobbies too. Yes I still fish as often as I can (I just don't share my findings now) but my old passion to ride is back. Today I finally got my own 'bike'. It's a 2015 Yamaha FZ-07 with less than 1600KM on it and it's mint AND has the upgraded Hindel exhaust! Time to ride to my spots

Yup, the toll free number on the back of my fishing license and someone does pick up. Now, I didn't speak to the CO but the woman I spoke to said they those people dressed in the same attire were charged the night before.

I didn't read that at all in the post. But hell, I would have called no matter the race if it wasn't right and I SEEN it. In fact on the weekend I did call MNR on guys in Lindsay catching and keeping carp for a group photo then tossing them back in, dead, floating past me... Those same guys were fined the night before too I was told (the guys I called about) after I called the MNR. The woman on the tips line even told me so.

I never pat it dry. My last batch I saved some brine and put it in a spray bottle (before soaking the fish in it) and I would mist the fish every now and then while it was in the smoker. Keeps the fish really moist and full of flavour. A former co-worked text me yesterday asking when the next time I was going to fire up the smoker as he wanted in and would pay for his share. I haven't worked with him in close to a year so I guess his family really did like the way I made it.

Yup, no harm no foul there at all.

Hard to say what I like vs what you might like and not knowing a budget is even harder to guess. I stick with Shimano as I can get to the depot for warranty work or tune up on reels in an hour drive.
