  1. Guys, regardless of any sort of politics etc... Can you blame anyone for trying to make an extra $ these days? Times are tough all over. I will say that I know Bob Devine personally, he is a very nice guy and a very good fisherman on any body of water. I have gotten to know Bob over the last year and always learn something from him every time I talk to him. that says volumes, I am an experienced angler. Whether or not you plan to use a guide service you should still send Bob a line if your planning to fish the Detroit river this spring. I know Bob would be more than happy to give you a few pointers or starting places. He is just decent like that. Eric
  2. Just which locals? I live as close to Mitchell's Bay as you do, and unlike you I took the time to walk out there drill a lot of holes, measured them, talk to almost everyone who was fishing, and make a video of it... the ice is almost entirely uniform at 4.5" + every where we checked. It is easy to be an arm chair ney sayer but I suspect this is just sour grapes from you for being banned on our board. Merry Christmas Mike. PS: Mike is correct, walk and carry a Spud on any early ice.
  3. Check this out guys!!!! If you need to get out on the hard water here is some good news!!
  4. Hell Yes! It was one of the hottest colors we tested this season. Here is some fish porn
  5. Day 3 results http://www.skunked.ca/viewforum.php?f=55
  6. Wind and weather panned this weekends results but many smaller fish were weighed in. Get out and enjoy some Lake Erie Sport Fishing at Port Glasgow for $20 for your whole crew, or you could win some great prizes or $$$! Click here for day 1 and 2 results: http://www.skunked.ca/viewforum.php?f=55
  7. Thanks we have caught some hogs out of Port Glasgow the last 2 years, I make fishing tackle and test most of my new stuff there, it is a very quiet friendly port. This is the first year for the derby, it is meant to be a family fun event. We have boated no less than 19 30" walleye this summer the biggest was 38" and over 14 pounds. The walleye fishing on Lake Erie is awesome but in my opinion the bigger ones seem to hang around the central basin near Port Glasgow. Here is some more Glasgow fish porn
  8. Folks the Port Glasgow Derby is i full swing lots of action so far despite the high winds and crummy weather. Where else can you buy your whole boat in for $20 for a week long derby and catch limits of big walleye and Rainbow Trout? For rules and detials click the link. http://skunked.ca/viewtopic.php?t=4968&start=0 Here are some fish taken on the Reel Nauti from the week before the derby.
  9. The walleye are starting to show up in numbers now @ Port Glasgow here is a pic from todays trip.
  10. Are you for real?? Sure casting for them might sound mor sporting but you only need one to peel off a couple hundred yards of line while trollling to get your blood pumping and that's a small one. You need to spend some time up in Belle River and get an education on trolling for huge LSC musky.
  11. Another good Day at Port Glasgow. Happy Canada Day!!
  12. That is a wonderful report!! I fish the Bluffers myself and plan to be there a lot this summer way to go!!
  13. I was an entrant in a tournament in Northern Michigan where the winning 5 fish were found to have been pumped full of clear silicone.
  14. Chrispy the fish have defnately started in Wheatley and Erieau. My feild tester the "Bag Man" has been fishing up that way. He says the fish have been moving in and out a lot at Wheatley and he usually finds them around the point close to 40 FOW. I still prefer Port Glasgow it is a small quiet Port but you only need to head out a couple miles and your on the fish. I find if you miss the fish at the other 2 ports you burn a lot more fuel finding them. If I had to compare the fishing at Port Glasgow to another port for convenience I would Pick Bluffers Park on Lake Ontario. The distance you need to travel to good fishing is comparable. Port Glasgow has 3 modest launches and lots of good guys who will tell you straight on the radio!!
