  1. WOW them must be some HUGE crappie and pan fish if there biting when your musky fishing I guess you dont need to keep may for the pan then. I am also one who does not eat fish and I love it when everyone has there own style of fish that I will love. I think its the texture more then the taste I do give it a fair try each time and yes in most cases the batter is great but I just cant bring myself to get past the texture of the fish. One thing when your out on fishing trips you dont have to fight over the fire for cooking a steak when the fish fry is on.
  2. Even if you find a unit cheaper then Angling Outfitters you will not find a person who knows more about them give Jos a call he will take great care of ya let him know the price you found else where and you never know what he might do for ya. One thing I know is that he will set the unit up for you the right way the first time and does FREE updates just pop into the shop ahd he will take care of you.
  3. Morning George I can say that I am one that does not have one yet. I might have to get it for work with crossing the boarder daily but they can not give me a answer for sure its sad when I ask the customs officers if my FAST card is good enough and they dont know the answer.
  4. This sure is some low life robbing Jamie (a handicap man) at gun point I hope he gets what coming to him. I know Jamie and he sure is a great person and always helps you out this sure is a sad day for local fishermen what the heck is going on that some goof would do this to him. Here is the article from Canoe.ca Police are currently looking for an armed suspect after receiving a complaint that Ed's Bait at 127 Earl St. was robbed at gunpoint this morning. The incident occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. Several police cruisers were called in from Chatham to aid in the search. Officers set up checkpoints over the southside neighbourhood, from about the Murray Street Bridge, south on Murray to about Reaume Street, as well as on Albert Street. Early reports are that a man robbed Ed's Bait with a handgun. Police have not yet released a description of the person they're looking for, but were out looking with a dog team. There were also reports that elementary schools in the area were under lockdown. The lockdown was lifted about 9:40 a.m. Police are looking for a caucasian male about 18 years of age, 6'0" tall with a thin build. He obtained a quantity of cash and exited the store on foot heading west bound. He was wearing a tan coloured coat, a dark ski mask, and black winter gloves. Chatham-Kent Police patrol officers, Police Dog Services, and members of the Critical Incident Response Team conducted a track and searched the area. The nearby schools were notified. At this time, the suspect has not been located. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Constable Jodi Foster at 519-436-6600 extension #83012 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). This morning's robbery comes less than 35 hours after an armed robbery at a business on nearby Murray Street. In that incident, police arrested an 18-year-old male who they say robbed the store while wearing a mask. In that incident, police confiscated a replica handgun.
  5. I must say that when we were at teh show a few years ago the Fishing world booth was great and Blake hooked us up with some great tubes and color choices. I wonder if Gulp is going to come out with some tubes they would be deadly.
  6. Congratz on a great summer job it sure would be nice to be young again and do it right that time around and take them summer jobs instead of just hitting every party around but then again they sure were fun. I cant wait to see the reports from up there good luck this summer.
  7. I have the tubs but did not give them enough of a fair shot I did get a couple eyes on the minnows but switched back to the chubs that had the eyes on fire that day. I do LOVE the package stuff and there is some scent in the package just look through the selection and pick the ones with the most scent or buy the spray bottle. With the package ones I have never been skunked and each time out others bring minnows and night crawlers but before the day is over they are using the GULP like I was using. One way I like to use it is with worm harness or slow death rig I have not had any problems with small fish or gobies the bait does not get stolen by the little buggers I can feel them down there pulling on the line but just wait for Mr.EYE to come along and take it or them dang SM would smash it. Even on the days last year when everyone was not catching we were. I just stocked up for the start of the season I picked up 15 packs I will not leave the dock with out the stuff if I am heading out for anything other then musky as for musky I tried to scent some lures last year but did not find that it helped out.
