  1. I have never owned a gun bigger then my pellet guy and dont hunt at all (well musky hunting) I say that is one huge wolf and I dont think its wrong to share the pic like was said he could have used the meat or skin even if it was for the wall. When I lived in Sudbury we had alot of problems with Brush wolf's they would send the female into your back yard and lure out your dog then have the pack jump on them we chased one away from a friends house across lake Ramsey (winter time) it ran to bald rock and up the rock and stood there we could see others in the trees it was kinda freaky there was alot of small pets missing usually they would just find the ball of fur from where it was ripped from the leash it was on. If the wolf or other animal is in season then go for it.
  2. Welcome Aboard Mike your show is a nice change from some others when your out doing what alot of peopel can do not like some bigger shows that have a full time guide for every trip and only hit a area in prime time. Keep it up maybe one day we can get you on Lake St.Clair I am not a master bass fisherman at all I have not gone out for them in years but still catch them all summer I bet there are some here who would be a hoot to shoot a show with I for one would recomend BBR Or just rich he is a hoot to watch and fishes your style. Cheers Mike

  7. The wife and Daughter were out half the night until they stopped the Relay for life due to lightning last night so about 1am they came home but went back at 6:30am so I guess its time to clean the house and play inside here as my two girls are very tired and my son will be to much for fishing in the rain. I hope the wind stays down tomorrow for Dad and I to get out for fathers day. and also watching OFC
  8. Dang if I were that close I would not miss it but that is just me usually we have our LSC Musky Classic that weekend but this year it has been moved t oJuly 3rd weekend and I will still miss it as work has been very slow this year and the $$$ is down so I must wait for another year one time I hope to get up there for the week or just weekend. Have fun for all that are going I know the area is great and the people i have met over the years here have also been great it will be a fun time. Cheers Mike
  9. try using photobucket for your pics. As for rainy day musky yes they love the rain one reason I like the rain is that not many others are out they are sitting at home watching fishing
  10. I would use a leader for sure either florocarbon 50lbs range 12-18" for casting or a seven strand 30-50lbs these are alot easier to find around here or you can get the stuff you need a BPS. I like 20-30# braid for fishing pike or bass in heavy cover and using your LM rod/reel will be fine you might get into some big pike but then again we have many here on LSC over 40"es.
  11. Now that is what its all about Cheers and congratz for the nice release and great commentary
  12. here is a pic like the one I have out here I dont think the one Terry posted is the same as this one the back of it looks like something that it is carrying and it has all bright colors my son chased it away before i could get a better pic maybe it will be back tomorrow. http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http...mOMTE_Qa2k93HDQ
  13. the wife and I have been doing some stuff out in the yard she was taking down the old gazibo when she found this spider it sure does look cool but I have never seen one like it before anyone know what kid it is?
  14. if I am Jigging deep rivers for eyes I will use a swivel but if tying direct then I always use a UNI to UNI knot they work wonders and will not come undone. Do your self a favor and buy a tie fast knot tying tool they make every thing alot easier http://www.flydepot.com/flyfishing/tie-fas...t-tyer/pid--96/
  15. I have one nice spot here on LSC that they school up in 100 or more on nice clear days you can just sit and watch them in the area I have not tried to catch them in years I usually just sit and watch them then head away again I do know that a nice dead minnow with no weight floating on top or just under the surface will do the trick either try and set the hook right away or you let them swim for a bit and then set the hook in the side of there mouth but they could get deep hooked I would tink. They are fun and do put up a good fight.
  16. as always great report sure does make me want to move to the north again but then again we dont have the black flies here.
  17. very nice Brandon did you head back in for Rancid?
  18. You forgot my favorite one there is a big storm out in the Ocean it might hit land it might come close to a refinery we might get wet yep Price goes up. That one always makes me laugh and cry at the same time not much we can do, as a trucker when I have my CB on in the USA I here alot of people daily whining about the prices and nothing gets done they all end the same way I cant afford to shut my truck down for a couple weeks to get the point across. Like others have said grin and take it just buy some KY so it dont hurt as much.
  19. Joey glad to here it and for sure it is some good info for everyone to pass along and learn

  21. A friend posted this on the Muskies Canada website and I thought I would pass it along as it may just save someone's life here or one of us might be able to use this info down the road please read STROKE IDENTIFICATION: During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall. She assured everyone that she was fine (They offered to call paramedics). She said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening. Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital. At 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away. She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ.. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this... A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough. RECOGNIZING A STROKE: Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions: S *Ask the individual to SMILE. T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE, coherently. (i.e. It is sunny out today.) R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher. New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue... If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke. Thanks
