  1. Yup extend the arms toward the camera. Makes it look like a 30" plus fish. And damn the guy has thick fingers.
  2. The "Made In" rules are quite lame. You would be surprised how much "Made in Canada" or "Made In USA" were they just put it in the final packaging here.
  3. Can't say any of my vehicles were bad. Biggest problem I had was with my first vehicle a 1972 Ford Cortina. A British built Ford which for a while was sold here. The problem was getting parts other than the basics. Had to have an accelerator cable sent from England.
  4. Great area. Your trip looks fun. I'm heading up in about 3 weeks.
  5. It's been a pet peeve of mine for years. Like pictures where buddy has a hand twice the width of his head.
  6. Yes I had this happen to me. It turned out to be a screw through the tread area of the tire. It depended on where the screw was when parked. If at the top of the tire it had no stress from where the tire flattens out at the bottom part of the tire. If on a more curved area of the tire like where the edge of the tire meets the road it would leak.
  7. By "2-3 pairs of socks" I hope you don't mean at the same time Too many socks can displace the air layer which insulates your feet.
  8. A friend of mine from Temagami sent some pictures of him out on the ice on a back lake in the area about a week ago. About 4" of ice then before the warmer spell.
  9. Although most lodges prefer to rent by the week June isn't always full occupancy. July and August would be another situation. The addition of rainbows will narrow the options.
  10. A modified street legal vehicle to an ORV will not be legal on the roadways. The HTA is quite specific on what ORV's vehicles can use the roadways. And insurance for a modified vehicle will be quite hard to find. Yes I would also like to see his plans. Can it be done? Yes but it may turn into a far bigger/more expensive project than expected. Keeping it street legal would be an easier option. And it would be a magnet for any LEO to checkout for proper registration and insurance.
  11. Yes it could be registered as an ORV. Finding insurance would be difficult and as an ORV it would not be legal on the roads. Trailering it to the lake would be a pain.
  12. I'm sure it can be made to work but it won't be easy. To make it work could also bring up some legal issues.
  13. Terry a track set up like yours won't fit a Sidekicker without removing a lot of bodywork. Matching drive ratios will be more difficult.
  14. Also chains on a Sidekick's front wheels could easily cause clearance issues and illegal to use on public roads. Chaining up every time you hit the ice would be a pain.
  15. Terry I don't see chains on the front so it will allow for some slippage.
  16. Not sure if that set-up will work too good. The tracks most likely will have a different drive ratio slower than the front wheels. With the front wheels engaged they will be turning faster then the tracks and will spin and put a lot of stress on the drivetrain. Also steering will be compromised.
  17. I have a pair of their Muk Lites. Very light and rated to -85C/-118F. I went 2 sizes larger than my normal size. Don't want them tight. Bought in Woodstock.
  18. Big difference in the charges though. O'Leary has a court date. Ruh's charge carries a set fine.
  19. If your referring to distracted driving laws that apply on the road than no. But there are other laws that may apply, but in most cases these charges are only laid after an incident.
  20. It would help if you mentioned where you are located and are you going to be fishing from shore or from a boat?
  21. Racoon rabies has been found in New York. Looks like a blocking pattern. Probably a part of a series of patterns.
  22. The St. Clair river at Sarnia can get quite busy with both large lake freighters and commercial fishing boats and fishing/recreational boats. And you can add Coast Guard boats also.
  23. A couple of years ago at Port Bruce we came in due to it getting far too rough. As we loaded up the boat we seen a guy with a 1960's fiberglass boat (aprox 16')with an inboard/outboard getting ready to launch. We warned him not to go. His response was "I was out earlier & I know what I'm doing". Even the ramp owner told him "If these guys are telling you not to go don't as they go out when most won't". They launched. After getting packed up we were having a beer with the ramp owner when they came back with the husband cursing at the wife. When they got to the mouth they found out they couldn't handle the 5 footers and tried to turn back getting washed into the pier and damaging the outdrive. But it was her fault??????
