  1. Most newer smart phones actually have a built in GPS recievers & don't rely on triangulation from towers.
  2. Guys this thread started almost 4 years ago. Not current info.
  3. No you are not allowed to sell your mounts. Shops may be allowed to attempt to recover losses of mounts they didn't get paid for in full but they better have paperwork to back this up.
  4. OK I won't but if they council-ed you to commit or be involved in a violation of the law I wouldn't deal with them again. Shows their ethics.
  5. Was it the taxidermy shop that asked you?
  6. I'll believe that when the insurance settles up & they send all the customers who's antlers were taken a full refund for deposites + full refunds for their hunting trips which got the antlers. A little to hard to believe if you ask me. And I'm positive an insurance adjuster will think the same.
  7. In Ontario the antlers legally have no monetary value is they are illegal to sell. The value stated in the article might be the lost taxidermy costs that would have been charged for the mounts.
  8. Yes a trailer plate must be lighted at night.
  9. Actually with Johnson's it's the model # you want to determine the year & options of the motor.
  10. Did you try the SeaFoam? Sounds to me like the high speed orifice is clogged. Idles fine but when you go to speed up the fuels not getting through. Piece of crap from the old tank could do this. Happened to me. SeaFoam may be a quick/cheap fix. The new tank will not fix the problem but will stop it from reoccurring.
  11. My exact answer.
  12. Try some SeaFoam. If it's a fuel issue this may solve it. Are you using a metal or plastic fuel container? Old metal ones can let old crap into the motor.
  13. Silver bass have horizontal black stripes & white perch do not.
  14. Sometimes fish tend to swim along with the bait after being hooked lightly. Won't pop the riggers. I've seen this on Erie when one day the eye's will pop the riggers but on other days the best indication is a wiggling rod tip.
  15. Here's a rough map of the lake. Big Moose is just above the * D = Drop off. Vertically jig this area. N = Narrows. Troll this area with rapala's or chartreuse worm harnasses. A = Shallow weed flat. Troll here with shallow diving body baits. Blue & silver seems to work good.
  16. Good deal. "I use that crap on everything".
  17. No line here either. A PC with Windows 10, and on Firefox.
  18. To me it would depend on who's there first. If your already there fishing than they should keep moving to another place. If they are there first they have every right to be there. After a reasonable time maybe a friendly response from you will go a long way in having them move on. Come flying out of the cottage the moment they pull up & starting to rant and rave will surely make the situation go down hill.
  19. This is true but if you are in violation of the Fish & Game Act they can demand you identify yourself verbally. I believe failure to do so can lead to arrest until your identity is confirmed. Same applies to the LLA. To give false information can lead to mischief charges.
  20. Wow that's a lot of money for a trust fund. Only after I read this part did I relize you added three extra zeros to you number.
  21. When I purchaced the insurance for my ATV it was an important question I asked. It turned out that the company that currently has my insurance covers on ice use. Another company the broker represents does not. This insurance company includes a free rider which prohibits on ice use. They don't even charge for this service. Mighty nice of them.
  22. Hopfully a leason learned for the boy's. It sucks but keeping an eye on your gear is required.
  23. Nice. Where did you launch from?
  24. What he said.
