  1. Nipissing is an obvious choice. Things get lingy after dark out there. I'll even join ya if i can
  2. Lots and lots of great operators on the lake. The waltonian inn only uses day huts (no bungalows) and usually has a few openings
  3. Drove thru central Ontario yesterday on the 11. Snow pretty well disappeared at Huntsville.
  4. Does it run better once the motor is warm?
  5. Not sure what you mean since those 2 towns are about 2 hours away from each other, but NB has had good ice for almost 3 weeks on most lakes, just not much snow.
  6. If there are weeds, find the deep edge! Not sure what those perch are like, but I've never had luck with finding clean, thick perch with nice fillets out of small lakes. Even 12-13" fish I find are typically thin without much of a fillet to salvage, compared to a Nip or Simcoe fish. Hopefully you have better luck than I haha
  7. I reccomend a boat.
  8. I had a couple hot dogs before i left for work!!!
  9. Lots of ice up here Jeremy. This rain will knock off the snow and make for great ice conditions once things firm up. Sledding...not so much
  10. Merry Christmas! I'm stuck at work making triple time...woe is me
  11. Merry Fishmas!!
  12. Very nice
  13. Holiday yakkin' for some big bruisers...nice
  14. Absolute classic. They put out a sequel a year or two ago that is apparently downright atrocious, and I can't wait to see it haha
  15. Around here they're closer to ten bucks, for smaller sizes too
  16. Yep, 1/4 oz for brookies and the bigger ones are pretty dynamite for lakers.
  17. They grow to gargantuan sizes on Nipissing for some reason. I would say the majority are 15-21 inches. Good news for the simcoe guys though. I'll have to try pickling a fish or two this winter
  18. They put together a good win tonight. Was hilarious when Anderson almost put in the empty netter!
  19. Shawn pits his shacks in decent spots but don't be afraid to try some other, less busy spots. Assuming you have a truck the ice should be very driveable early again like last year
  20. "Further fiscal oppurtunity" is a choice cut of words! Awesome report, and love the camp. It must be a great feeling knowing you always have a refuge like that when your mind and body needs it
  21. Nipissing walleye are generally not hard to catch lol, just hard to find at times. Use whatever small to medium flutter or jigging spoons you like to use and always have a tip-up out. Sometimes on a hot evening bite you do best with just simple set lines.
  22. Filled this out a couple weeks back. 100% worth your time, and an easy way to voice your opinion to policymakers.
  23. Those stockers are faaaaaaat! Good eats, love the look of those steaks
  24. Good lord! Is that where the hatchery dumps their brood stock?
