  1. Snowstorm splakin'...yeehaw

  2. Bruuutal disallowed goal in the 1st. Detroit is certainly not the team they used to be.
  3. Front wheel drive is definitely better than just rear wheel, but it depends entirely on what type of launchs you use. Loose sand/gravel/mud you will still run into problems. FWD would be useless to me, but maybe fine for you
  4. Your determination finally payed. Just a tip, you won't find burbot so 'disgusting' after you keep one for the table!
  5. Through the mouth and up thru the hard part of the skull is IMO the best way to rig a live minnow on a jig. I usually stick with northland gumballs, and a stinger is probably a good idea if you can get away with it (might be tough on snaggy bottoms)
  6. Nice fish, but I've never heard of year-round creek specs
  7. Gotta love it when you blank on the way in, and hit a few on the way out. Temag is insane with hunters Don't feel bad about not getting to fish if you were staying on Jumping Cariboo lol
  8. First time musky fishing and you get 5?? Maybe you should quit while you're ahead! Lol
  9. You were watching the wrong team lol. Another great team game from Mtl, who are now back to 1st in the NHL (tied w/ Anaheim)
  10. I have a Hero3. Battery life is excellent, and I run it on a chesty mount and it works great for me!
  11. I work shift work. I am a vacation replacement but if I were on a steady crew I would work Mon-Tues dayshift, Fri-Sat-Sun night, Wed-Thurs days etc..I do like it for the simple fact that you're only at work 7/14 days as opposed to 10, and I have no problems with nights, and yes more time to fish and get things done with having weekdays off.
  12. Yup, find steep drops close to the deepest basins in the lake and vertical jig live minnows. You might get lucky and find a big pod. Great way to catch bass too
  13. To answer your question, YES!!!
  14. Toyo Open Country g-02's are the only winter tires I have experience but they were fantastic, and Toyo's are hard to beat for treadwear. Easy to beat for price, though. Oh, and you shoulda kept the 4runner
  15. The most profitable organization, objectiely rated by ESPN as the worst sports organization in North America lol!
  16. Nice way to cap off the softwater season I'd say! Now it's time to ditch the prop for a track!!
  17. Regardless of its effectiveness (or lack thereof) it's still a step in the right direction, and a good sign that NFN leaders are beginning to listen to what many of their community members have been saying for a long time!!
  18. Yeah, I guess some won't realize how tasteless those jokes are until Canadians start dying...
  19. Sounds like a welcome change. Good for you. Know quite a few people doing this now, even a few with a wife and young kids at home and they manage just fine. 2 and 2 is not bad but I know that used to do 4 on, 2 off, which is a little much imo. Are you heavy duty mechanic?
  20. Thanks for the input. Do you think I'd be sacrificing a bit of trollability going up to a 9.9 on a such a small boat? I do a lot of trolling and would like to maintain speeds 1.0 - 1.2 if I can. That is my only reason for considering the 8 over the 9.9. I knew the Merc's were a Tohatsu platform but I've yet to compare pricepoints on the two.
  21. Why not run a steel leader? I dont imagine those big predators are at all leader shy
  22. Wow did Colorado ever luck out with this 3rd stringer!!
  23. I thought the small ones were called mxz's too. Is that an 80cc?
