Was on the north shore of nip a few days ago and there was close to 3 feet of snow, but very hard packed....machines will sit right onto top but there arent any vehicles venturing out there

Holy schnikes, that's about the worst time one could have while ice fishing! At least no one was hurt? (Yet) lol Didn't you recently pick up a second Bravo so you at least have a machine until this fiasco gets sorted out?

My dad was there this past summer. Lake is huge and the wind was high almost the entire week (close to n. shore of superior so weather is a wildcard). Walleye fishing was mostly terrible, don't remember exact numbers, only the massive disappointment haha I'm sure the lake produces good fishing at times, but if you're making a substantial trip like I definitely would not reccomend it. My 0.02

Do your research. The lake is very remote but has had many lodges on it for decades and is definitely a pressured fishery. I would consider other options if you're really interested in high quality fishing

Tried to ignore this...but can't...sorry but that's astoundingly ignorant. Try telling that to anyone in any small northern community where the fall moose/deer/bear hunt is a rite of passage, and an important family gathering that doesn't have a damn thing to do with consumerism, flashy gear or anything of the like. To generalize the entire hunting community like that is pretty ridiculous, not to mention downright false.

Fargo is a classic, and the fact that everyone talks like that around here makes it even funnier (just with a bit more french in der eh).

Do you really NEED braid? You're nowhere near bottom and the bites aren't exactly subtle. I would just use whatever downrigging gear I'd happen to have in the boat

You can buy an ATV trailer and a good quality older 12 footer for less than what that costs.

I saw tracks on an Outlander 500 earlier this year, and it performed quite well in deep snow, but 4 grand buys you a very nice snow machine!

Lots of good operators, not many bad ones. Time to check some websites. Tama Kwa and Rob Hyatt's bungalows are typically good fish producers, but Idle Tyme and Waltonian Inn are also in good spots, but are typically are a little more hit and miss. Avoid Snofari at all costs unless you like mudpuppies and being right next to one of the busiest access points on the lake.

I think I've put 3 phones down the hole or out the side of the boat/canoe, although I'm more careful now (few years since the last one). Sacrificed a few nice rod/reel combos as well.

Very skilled build!! But not exactly practical for someone that needs to haul stuff in their box. His compartments wouldn't be great for a chainsaws/coolers/rods and reels etc. I'm gonna get a truck box tent for next season, can't wait to get using that.
