  1. I spent my afternoon on here. Good forum, but still depressing.
  2. Aw man, I was really hoping for something more optimistic than that. Oh well, thanks.
  3. I don't suppose you've been there recently?
  4. I'll start keeping track Only 3 times so far in 08 :(:(:(:(
  5. Awesome! Thanks a bunch!
  6. Yea, I've heard stories of great fishing from that bridge on Liverpool many years ago. There isn't even enough water back in that part to hold fish anymore! Thanks for the info.
  7. 1” Berkley Trout Craw's?
  8. WOW WHAT A REPORT! Congrats on a great day fishing
  9. Sounds like a great ice fishing destination from what I've heard.
  10. Thanks for the info! I hear of so many crappie getting caught out there, but I still haven't gotten any.
  11. Have any of you ever ice fished Frenchman's Bay? I never see all that many people out there, and I always thought that if it were actually good, there would be more than a handful of people out there, seeing as how it's right in town. Is there pike out there?
  12. There's lots and lots of ice on Scugog. I've been 3 times, and gotten 3 eyes, a jumbo perch and a muskie. So far, I've done decent, but not great. I've heard good reports though.
  13. I've been only been out on the ice twice this season, but the buckshot has already popped a huge perch a good sized eye (glow in the dark/green colour). I already have confidence in the buckshot
  14. I really ought to try some of this carp fishing. Looks like a blast!
  15. Nice crappie! I've ice fished Scugog a couple times now, and haven't yet landed any crappie, only perch. The walleye fishing seems to still be decent out there though.
  16. Thanks! I'll call tomorrow morning. Has the fishing been good?
  17. Hey guys... I'm thinking about heading down to Belleville tomorrow to try my luck with some eyes and I'm wondering if the ice is solid enough to fish? Thanks!
  18. Since all the tributaries are undoubtedly frozen in the GTA, I decided to head up to Scugog to see if I could tie into some eyes. We got out, got set up around the outside of a big pack in anywhere from 6-12 ft of water, and within the first hour we get the biggest perch I've ever seen up close. It was about 1 1/8 pound (I've never done much jumbo fishing). Then, about 15 minutes later I hook into a good size fish that's taking lots of line. I figure it MUST be a good size eye. I finally get a glimpse at it, and I realize I have a muskie on. We somehow managed to get it through the 6 inch hole in the ice and it probably weighed about 10 pounds! Other than that nothing, and the bite looked to be really slow for everyone, but the muskie made it more than worth it for me!
  19. Thanks for all the help!
  20. Is anyone aware of the water conditions in the Belleville area? I am looking to head out tomorrow and don't want to drive all the way there just to see ice.
