  1. So true guys. Been putting it off for a couple of years now. Glad it’s done and now I can plan next years project. Dan, Norfolk is very nice, but unfortunately there’s so many subdivision being built now especially around Waterford. One is soon to start right beside us. Once it’s built that country feeling will be long gone.
  2. Me too Lew. $1500 for everything here. Maybe a $1000 now.
  3. Us too. Got my second shot last Wednesday and the next day had the chills really bad.
  4. Just the boat traffic and all. I like things a little bit quieter where your not getting hit with waves all the time or someone going over your lines when trolling. That’s why trolling in December is my favourite time lol.
  5. Glad I wasn't the only one who experienced that crazy boat traffic today. Nice jumbo
  6. Decided to take my bro fishing on his bday today (sweet 45). My brother, nephew, and I had our sites on Erie, but with an east wind we went with plan B. Trolled for 5 hours and landed 8 (6 Sheepheads and 2 Pike). Highlight was the first 30 seconds of trolling and my nephew landed a nice 32" Sheepshead. My brother and I haven't even put our lines in the water yet. Pike were 28" and 30". Little guys but fun to fight. My brother wasn't getting any luck as the within the last 10 minutes before going home with my nephew catching 4 and me 3 my rod bent over again. I handed the rod to my brother so he could get in on the battle. We call it the pity fish. Every year I always get reminded on how much summer fishing sucks. Boat launch and river was packed and even saw a heated argument at the launch. Good times
  7. Just glad the family is okay especially my parents. My dad who drives his cab 60hrs week never stopped working. He's 72 lol. He made a small fortune cause most cabbies in Hamilton took a break. Both my parents are getting there second shot Sunday👍.
  8. I think most leaf fans have recovered. That's until the CN tower put on that light show lol. Tory was asking for a complete investigation haha.
  9. Got it delivered yesterday and installed with zero issues. Best to use an adjustable wrench as opposed to channel locks to loosen the bolt lol. Pin was a little tricky to get back in. Just going to throw the old prop in the boat hoping to never use it again. Thanks for the feedback thou.
  10. Here's my take before this post gets taken down lol. Keep the core together. Matthews, Marner, and Reilly will make a run for the cup just not now. They will get us in the playoffs every year and soon they will pass the first round. When they do watch out cause it will be a hugh weight off there shoulders and it won't be much different then Washington finally beating Pittsburgh or Tampa getting revenge on Columbus last year. Dubas I think will make the necessary changes and I trust him with that. Sign Hyman (team friendly hopefully) and Speeza. Keefe needs to get rid of Malhotra. Until next season boys. Go Leafs Go
  11. Weather the storm bud. You'll be fishing again before you know it 👍. Just save some fish for us.
  12. Good stuff. Sounds like it got started with a phone call to the Ministry from the public. I keep the number in my contacts so it's there just in case. 1-877-847-7667
  13. Not bad. I usually use a black spinner bait with a pink tail, but going to try a spoon tomorrow. Thanks for the report.
  14. Walk up the river and look for holes. A hook, worm, split shot, and bobber worked for me in the past. Good luck
  15. Sorry bud. Hope you keep us updated.
  16. Thanks for the feedback boys. Ordered it last night ($100). Should be delivered by June 10 so will let you know how things went. Means no fishing for a few weeks (twitch twitch) for me.
  17. Nothing a little flex seal can't fix.
  18. Well the title says it all. Bought it new last year and I was hoping to get a few years out of it before making any repairs, but sometimes I underestimate my judgement lol. I filed all the blades down so they are kinda sorta smooth now. Anyways I’ve never changed a prop before (it’s a 2020 Yamaha) and was wondering if there’s anything I should know before taking it apart and installing a new one. I watched a few vids so it doesn’t look too difficult.
  19. Just read an article today about the demand for lumber. I remember a couple of months ago when I first started the deck I came home from work and the wife said while doing the dishes a pickup stopped in front of our driveway and 2 guys were looking at something and drove away. No doubt it was all that wood that was sitting there. Into the garage it went.
  20. Looks good Lew. Definitely the brown treated looks nicer then the green. Just finished building my first deck last week and it was a little costly. $1500 for everything. That’s it for home projects this year.
  21. With my usual spring time launches now closed I have found 2 that are better maintained and a little cheaper.
