I had a blast last year - would reccomend the experience of attending this to all who enjoy a good mix of fishing & campfires unfortunately for me there is only soo much vacation time to spread around in a year & I am planning on hitting some new waters in a coupla other places instead this season - have fun everyone, I know you will

with my annual Nip Trip cancelled, dwc67 & I hit Quinte this weekend & we both got new PB's 11.10lbs for me & a whopping 13.4 for Dave! thanks Dave, had a blast, but still woulda rather been on the ice

my innsurance policy is good 12 months a year

a BIG brown! looks like I am gonna be doing a lot more open-water trolling for salmon trout & eyes & less time for bass/pike/muskie

my first fish was a stocked rainbow from a local conservation area pond - i was 4 or 5

morning Lew - Jamie has the gold chip & it worked great for us on Quinte be aware though I dont know if Navionics has added the French/Nippissing area yet - i know you fish there a little bit - would be handy to help navigate along the shoals & whatnot -

we were booked with another operator too for next weekend - not gonna be enough ice in time for the bungalows - we're gonna head up anywayz hoping there is safe for walking out with the hand augers & portables

since you fish up in the French/Nipp area Rick, if you want charts for those areas make sure they are available for whatever brand you decide on I recently picked up a Garmin Extex Legend Cx - very nice versatile unit, but its screen size may not be to your liking for car use

nice relaxful low-key CXhristmas spent with family - loved it! bought myself some nice needed fishing items before hand had given to me tons of BBQ sauces/rubs/marinades, some power tools for the workshop, clothes,....... had a very nice 4 day stretch off, back to work tommorow
