  1. ya it is too bad that we pay rediculous prices for the booze... living close to the border i too often bring some beer back across - never noticed a huge difference it taste... think it may depend more on how fresh it is i too am watching the left turn derby as well for a bit before i sneak out for some fish'n Jimmys holding the lead so far...
  2. pack an extra memory stick & batteries Dan
  3. totally agree - unless your out for just "having a good time" you definetly have to adapt & work - from this you'll learn more, gain more confidence & in turn, eventually produce good consistent results
  4. Johhny, I admire the amount of water you cover - keep at 'er!

  8. figured as much I too am gonna be shopping around - have everything currently w/ Bell, no real issues thus far except a ) I know i could be paying less with different carriers/providers b ) hate the fact that one of the biggest Canadian compaines who with there "beaver commercials" portraty themselves as "Canadian", are sending all the jobs to India & such....
  9. it is what it is i rarely vent at all on here & i dont consider the following to be a "vent' or "rant" just the way i see it in my own opinion the board has changed alot - ive been a "member" here going on nearly 5+ years now & yes ive done Lakair trip once, the BOQ group trip once, the 1st Simcoe ice trip (ran by Pigeonfisher, refreshments provided by Csico ) 2 of the old January Nip Trips at Rob Hyatts (too bad these trips dont happen anymore) and numerous other one day outtings alot of very good anglers who once contributed alot of very usefull fishing related info & reports are no longer active... thats the fishing side of it.... but with that some folks have gotten to know each other quite well & with that alot of folks have benefitted greatly from various friendships made here yes i still come back here time to time to see whats going on... but is OFC my main "fishing board"? no its not... as many others i have invested a fair amount of blood, sweats, tears, time & money into this hobby & there are other sites out there that cater to those who share the same passion.... its still a great place to shoot the bull & what not not & yes there are some very excellent people around here no doubt (both mods/admin & contributors/members)

  20. for the longest time i was big into bass/muskie/pike ect... now witrhout a doubt its trolling the big water for salmon, trout & some walleye as well.... nothing beats a 10lb steelhead doing cartwheels 100ft behind the boat before it even pops a release & or a 20 something pound salmon violentinly smashing a wire dipsy diver set-up
