  2. ive caught more incidental musky on that lake then i have intentioally... have a good trip, Pigeon is a fun lake

  4. by all accounts its been a great year on Lake O for lakers.... the St Cath derby ususally gives a good representation of the Laker fishery As does the vrious LOC derbies held on the NY side of the lake. The last few yrs most of the 1st place lakers are generally 20-24lbs. I cant remember the last time there was one over 25. Catch of a liftetime for 'ol Roho indeed. Congrats once again bud. I would have kept it as well.

  10. only once have i caught two 10" + fish one day on the Kawarthas.... they just dont get big there.... or they are hidding in a spot i havent found....

  14. 1st book might be all you need Eh, it coveres all Dipys, Jets, and lead core dive curves i believe the 2nd book covers Walker Deeper divers, copper lines & snap weights, though i have yet to see the 2nd book personally....
  15. i went in '05 great show indeed, and I am not even a huge hardcore musky guy i too wish it was scheduled earlier in winter... that is a prime weekend to be out for reel-peeling spring salmon
  16. time & money are the two main things required to get in competitive fishing now it all depends too on what main species you wish to fish for and as well what kind of boat motor you have if you wanna just have some fun and not get totally serious then there are lots of low key derbys or one day tournies for many different species depending on the waterbodies tht are near you. For these a typical modest boat/motor would suit you well
  17. fish are fish... geez no probelm at all as long as its all legal which it appears to be largies arent my preffered table species, but then again neither are muskie, but ive eaten them both legally....
