  1. in before the lock.... what i wanna know is who the the heck is actually falling for this move?? Seriously, is there anyone out there that truly thinks that borrowing more money to pay the debt is a good idea?
  2. its (k) not though! found it...the video starts when he is talking about tying the knot..i realize now he tied it for his quick strike rig...(he was fly fishing earlier in the episode) https://youtu.be/dHoh0vBcz6w?t=14m36s
  3. one ofthe most recent episodes of uncut angling featured a fantastic loop knot that aaron tied for his wire when fly fishing pike. the knot is literally is just two overhand knots together...i started using it on my streamers a couple weeks ago and now im using it as my go to for everything...the ability to adjust the loop size easily is incredible and i have yet to have it fail whatsoever in over 40 hours of fishing (this included tying it on cranks for pike this past weekend) my set up..backing -double uni - fly line with loop end - surgeons knot - leader - double uni - 6 inches of flurocarbon or knottable wire - double overhand loop knot (not even sure if its named?) - Fly
  4. I feel like someone may have approached him with this same offer and he is now posting it satirically?
  5. because i wanted proof of just how pathetic it is. 120 bucks for game 6 of the conference finals? even vancouver sells out conference final games.
  6. the deet was doing its duty this past weekend. When she was calm there were clouds of the buggers...but i didnt even end up getting bit one time. Praise the lord...i dont think i will be so lucky in a couple of weeks time.
  7. Id like to clarify that this was not a blockade of any sorts. it was on the designated truck pull over areas where there is a full on ramp and off ramp divided off of the highway. I also agree with the tinfoil hat sentiment. Ive been checked by the MNR many times and to be honest wish they checked me more. If you dont like the idea of you being checked, what do you propose they do?
  8. 200 for a ticket? look how low ottawa fans are willing to go to make excuses for their pathetic fan base. I was on ticket master at 3 oclock yesterday afternoon, plenty of tickets available for 120 bucks from the box office. You could sit lower bowl for 300...so dont give me any of this crap about it being expensive. Last time I went to a leaf game i paid 110 to sit in the upper bowl on a tuesday night. No one cares about the sens...thats the problem. $6 for a hot dog...oh poor you...i know that you guys are used to eating your wieners for free...
  9. saw the IG post... not too shabby, especially from shore! well done mang
  10. a couple of the dudes that drove past it I am sure regretted it, and rightfully so. aka the one guy we saw pulled over, If you are blowing past that check towing a 20 foot lund with twin tallons....hmmmm me thinks you were fishing some eyes this weekend, well unless you were fishing out of season bass? what were you thinking by not stopping?
  11. i drove past the same spot check... we had been fishing but obviously didnt pull in because we didnt have any fish, there was literally nothing for them to check. i said as soon as we passed...they will definitely chase anyone towing a boat, and sure enough a little ways down the road there was literally every single person who skipped the check towing a boat being pulled over by a CO. I am 100% for this type of event, i do wish the signage was clearer though. I had no idea what to do, it just said stop check ahead...it should have said "IF YOU HAVE BEEN FISHING OR HUNTING, PULL IN FOR MNR STOP CHECK AHEAD" glad to see the boys out though!
  12. the amount of bass we caught on the cyclops and 5 of diamonds while casting pike this weekend was crazy...these buggers werent on beds either, they were 100% out feeding on bait.
  13. lets the extra long weekend commence...30+hours in the boat here we come!

  14. that thing looks badass as heck
  15. whats the biggest one youve seen? and are they catching them and smoking them up there still or what?

  18. had boca bearings in my curado that i purchased second hand, sure enough they totally failed and when i sent my reel into shimano for service this spring they replaced them with stock bearings....
  19. Hire fisherpete, the guy slays the skis...and is priced right, he also provides a ski guarantee! If you want his contact info shoot me a Pmer
  20. who the hell is making musky stew these days aside from ol' fisher pete?
  21. lmao they still arent selling out? can this team please just fold up and move to hamilton already?
  22. ya aside from the fibres all separating into individual lines and then bird nesting in my reel...then also leaving a burnt on plastic residue all over my reel...no real issues at all...stuff is straight doo doo
  23. Unfortunately T James the charts available on Gbay are just not very accurate. I believe the last job was done back in the 40's by the navy for the war effort. Incredibly the maps are so bad that if you go into the Pointe Au Baril area, there actually isnt even a chart available for areas like sturgeon bay or anywhere off of the typical navigation line. its a blessing but also a curse. I will tell you right now that many of my honey holes are either A completely uncharted or B totally inaccurate and therefore not showing any structure in the area at all. It can suck for finding new spots, but it can also be incredible for when you do find a shoal in the middle of a large area that is not marked at all...typically these spots hold fish! For perspective last fall I was fishing a spot that was beside the main path heading south through the shawanaga inlet...the contours were fairly accurate on the main navigation path, we then ventured off of the path and inside one of the navigation buoys into an area that was apparently 5 feet deep...well it was 30...and didnt get to 5 until we were basically on main land again. Perhaps this is a lesson for anyone out there, unless you are on the main drive navigation lines on G bay...dont trust anything! the worst case scenario is the opposite, which I have also found where the depth contours say 15-30 fow but then you come across a shoal the size of a house where the water is only 3 feet deep. No marker at all! This is why I personally am looking for a unit with autochart so that i can create my own maps and not have to rely on the crappy charts available for G bay.
  24. If anyone is looking to get a Ci4 I just recently bought one off of ebay from simmons sporting goods. I was able to get up here for 270 CDN taxes+shipping all in...not too bad
