  1. i think the eyes could learn a lesson or two from you bud
  2. some of my best days of all time were in the rain.
  3. fisherpete recommended one of these bad boys Ive never looked back. two passes on the outside top, and sides of the hook and the thing becomes like a magnet...ouch no need to break the bank, these ones with the yellow handle work incredible. Can anyone confirm the brand, i cant remember!??
  4. I was out on opener last year in the pouring rain/snow in weather almost identical to this....the straight white 6 inch swimbait bite on the drop offs of shallow weedy bays was ridiculous for pike. I hit a couple spots where i landed 3 fish in 3 casts. My retrieve was basically as slow as I could get the swimbait to still swim. I parked in the bay just near the drop off and cast out...let it come to bottom and swam them up the edge...was a riot.
  5. hey sterling the races are universal for the 1 and 1 1/16 axle...the bearing size is what you have to watch. If you have a 1 1/16th axle you need to L4469 bearing, if you have a 1 inch axle you need a L44643 bearing. The seals are also size specific. I cant remember the product code as the packaging had it printed on the front of the package. Honest opinion here, if you dont require a short hub, go and buy the standard canadian tire trailer hub, its a cheaper and easier way of doing the whole process, for literally the same price and this way you dont have to pound the races in and out. I broke my hub trying to put the races in and I was even using the proper tool for it. The races come pre installed in the new hubs, my kit even came with bearings but unfortunately I had the 1 1/16th axle so the bearings didnt fit. I ended up spending just as much on bearings as I did for the whole Hub, races, bearings, and pins. We finally got our new short hub this weekend and the job was a 10 minute fix.
  6. was just down in guntersville during the basscat invitational 240 competitors...damn they are some nice looking boats.

found some brookies! I almost couldnt believe they took my fly.

  8. was just on TSN and some ottawa fans were complaining that the rink is a half hour away as their excuse....I once had it take half an hour for me to drive from queen and Bay to Front street.... literally every single fan in Toronto unless you are within walking distance or can take the subway/go train from your front door travels 1hr + to each game. Let the franchise die and move it to a real canadian city where people actually watch hockey instead of CPAC.
  9. and that my friends, is why i hate the ottawa senators more than any team in the NHL and cheer against them in absolutely every single scenario regardless of opponent...I would even cheer for the canucks over the sens...ugh i think i almost just vomited but ya...fold the team and put them somewhere that actually cares about hockey like QC or Hamilton.
  10. the memories live forever for this kind of stuff.
  11. only bait ive caught on a hook is a goby! Otherwise its just perch, which the fish are also eating a lot of.
  12. lol rangers are my pick in the east to go all the way at this point...two easy series against soft teams...meanwhile the pburgh washington series is going to be a war
  13. These things seem gimmicky like people wear them just to look cool...but they are maybe one of the best things I have started using while fishing in a long time ive got more of these SA buffs kicking around my place than i know what to do with. Bass opener in PAB is absolutely relentless when it comes to bugs, blackflies, mosquitoes, deer flys, horse flys all out in full force...wear a buff...no issues I have always been extremely susceptiable to heat/sunstroke specifically when standing out in the sun all day on the boat in +30 degree weather. These things have been an absolute life saver for me and have totally changed the game. Dunking a buff into the lake and putting it back on, them along with a fishing shirt, hat and glasses. I now can fish in 35+ degree weather all day without issue. \ the insulated ones were friggin awesome ice fishing this winter as well! when it gets super hot, who would have thought, more clothing was going to be the key to staying comfortable!
  14. my first round picks i did ok Wsh in 5 = wsh in 6 NY in 7 = NY in 6 Bos in 6 = Ott in 6 Pburg in 5 = Pburg in 5 edm in 7 = edm in 6 Nsh in 7 = Nsh in 4 Wild in 7 = St louis in 5 Anh in 5 = anh in 4 This round ive got Preds in 6 Ducks in 5 Rangers in 6 Pens in 7
  15. id argue that the round goby although invasive has had a profound positive impact on game species in georgian bay. Ive first hand witnessed the bass and walleye gorging on them specifically in the fall when bass are supposed to be out in the open flats chasing shiners, ive found schools of tank smallies in <2FOW in total feeding frenzies. I guess the concern is with the smaller competitor species of fish.
  16. lol martin marincin
  17. its surprising but i notice a huge difference between using emeralds vs chubs
  18. wash will never win the cup with ovi you need a complete player as your leader to win it all. the cup is perhaps the hardest trophy to win in professional sports it literally takes a perfect make up in order to win it. Ovi will win a cup in his last year of hockey playing for some bogus team like the columbus blue jackets or the minnesota wild. my round 1 predictions were decent except for the ottawa series i picked bruins in 7. aside from that I was pretty darn good.
  19. ive kinda got this on my list of things to do. ive chatted with him via instagram. the guy is hilarious. Plus he has a good taste in music to boot!
  20. this is an incredible idea if it works...but not a $50 incredible idea. If a drain plug is 4 bucks, id pay no more than 10 for this.
  21. im alive! We only caught a quick storm on the way down heading into windsor. Pretty good downpour but then great weather the rest of the way down. A cold front moved through on saturday evening though and we ended up getting pinched between two tornado warnings. The rain that came down while we had some southern barbecue in guntersville was perhaps some of the heaviest I have ever seen. It then proceeded to downpour on and off without stopping until we left at 9am sunday. Tennessee was flooding up pretty good in spots but we made it out. We kind of got lucky, the hardest rain seemed to go north and south of us. Guntersville bite was friggin tough as heck. even the tourney results this past weekend werent great. Winner of a 240 boat tourney was 39 lbs!
  22. Alabama Bound tonight! Big ol bucketmouths here we come
