  1. What the SNAP! I can't recall a first post as impressive as that...well done, and welcome!
  2. Amazing! Nice find, Drifter...now get back on the ice!
  3. Wait a sec.....you fish??? Way to go....that's a seriously nice fish
  4. That thing is FAT.....nice fish!
  5. Wow...those fish are blindingly bright! Nice touch with the Quicksilver hoodie too Beautiful pics...as mentioned already, they say it all.
  6. The presence of Roland and Jimmy doesn't improve the odds that I'll attend....but if Jeff (Gustaffson) and Gord (Pyzer) were there...THAT would get my attention. But they'll probably be busy hauling in first ice 'eyes that weekend.
  7. Seriously...you live in the land of walleye! I am so pumped for the ice....nice to see the snowy landscape!
  8. Hmmmm.....I DO like the bottle idea....but DON'T like the idea of not having the ducer below the ice...so far my chunk of foam is working well for me
  9. Rizzoo >> LOLOL I'm soooo glad to see an ice report! Send some of that cold stuff down here!!!
  10. Congrats on the new ride, Jacques I can't wait to see pics of it out on the ice
  11. As usual.....WELL DONE! I think your son has caught more largies than me this year One of those pike has a seriously beat-up crank hanging from its yap....never seen that colour combo before, but it appears to be effective Great report....keep 'em coming
  12. So you use them for steelhead....this is making a lot more sense now "Megabass" and "Solopaddler" just didn't seem to go together in my head. Are these another option for "froggy" water....or do you back them into pools a la "hotshot" technique?
  13. The first year I got the aqua-vu, I found it was better to have it sitting on bottom, rather than hanging...so I made a base for it out of a little plastic tray...the kind you'd keep on top of a desk....covered it in plastic weeds from the aquarium (that I bought from Fang...must've passed on his fake weeds idea through some freaky kind of telekinetic osmosis ), and ended up with a camera hidden inside a good clump of weeds. Never used the camera much after that, because I got a Lowrance....but this winter LakerJessy is dying to get out on the ice....and she's a big fan of the camera....so we'll try the fake weeds out again. I like the idea of a couple small trees as a permanent piece of structure though....especially on crappie waters
  14. Awesome report....both times! Some very nice fish there guys
  15. Booof!!!! Thassa big'un! Way to go
  16. Wow.....really impressive. Good stuff
  17. Nicely done Wayne...I should've never doubted you LOL That's a beast indeed!
  18. Sounds about right...I love the description for #8
  19. 3 mile is a pretty solid walleye/bass lake....but doesn't have a history of being productive through the ice. If you're out there all the time, you will stumble across the right day/time and manage a few 'eyes. Otherwise the perch are pretty cooperative. Skeleton doesn't get the attention it used to....so it's either back to good fishing and people are keeping quiet about it...or it's still slow. Rosseau is right down the road from 3 Mile, and has great fishing for trout....you can walk out from a number of spots...the closest being the Windermere House. My parents live up there for 6 months of the year, and I "keep an eye" on the place in the winter as well...usually Rosseau gets most of my attention when I'm up there on the ice
  20. Great stuff as always, Limey! A few more videos of you slipping on the rocks out back, and then all the ice updates...can't wait
  21. I would look for all the classic lake trout structure, and work it from deep to shallow. With water temps being ideal for them, they could be anywhere....good luck!
  22. 30 - 45 people?!? And no hook-ups? Pretty sure you need to find a new spot....
  23. Really phenomenal shots there....the epitome of letting the pics tell the story. Nice work!
  24. NOt too shabby at all....way to keep moving around. The "three-way" rigs you were using....shad rap and a weight to get them down a bit more....or trailing a different lure out behind them? Just curious...I like trailing a tube or stickbait behind a deep diver
  25. PM Sent......not to you though....a little higher up. Waayyyy up Thanks for sharing, Wayne... the support you have for your family is a truly great example for others.
