Great report -- that pike is insane! On the one hand, yeah, would've been nice to realease it....but the trout population has to be getting a bit of a break now that that gator has been removed from the food chain! LSPP -- definitely on the bucket list!

I have that exact same Rattlin' Rap in the ice tackle box...have never used it yet, but always bring it 'cause it looks good. Based on how that trout inhaled it, I think I'll bust it out soon!

Please don't take this as hijiacking the thread...what about someone who is fishing with you that doesn't need a license because of their age? My 10 year old son, for example.... or my 67 year old dad....do they have their own sport limit, or do their fish count toward mine? *Edit* I got off my lazy and took the ten steps over to my copy of the regs and see that my son and my dad are "deemed to be the holder of a recreational fishing license" and have to follow the same rules as the sport license.

Those are nice perch anyway....too bad no whities or lakers showed up...you'd think you were deep enough. Craziness with the machines out there...weeding the stupidity out of the gene pool doesn't seem to be happening fast enough

Wow....thank goodness you made it! I was sorely tempted to head out there yesterday as well...but took the advice of a friend and headed a little further north. Hasn't happened to me yet...but if it ever does...I hope I react as quickly as you did.

I was fishing on WIndermere Bay on the weekend....a few huts out there....saw your buddy Sudsmaster....if you're reading this! Only 4 inches...less in places....but didn't stop a guy from draggin his hut out to the middle of the lake with a snowmobile. Blew my mind....but every time he went out, he made it back Lots of action on the Lowrance...but the only takers were real tiny guys....not even picture worthy.
