  2. Found the board while looking for some info on fishing....was the first fishing forum I had ever come across...think it was still called a bulletin board back then. Lost track of my log-in info a few times over the years as I moved around the province, but kept finding the board again and never lost my user name Stuck around for the insane amount of knowledge, good people, and because this board continually motivates me to get out and fish!
  3. Great report....seems like the St. Mary's is the kind of place even *I* could catch some river steel
  4. I thought those were good eaters too....until Lloyd filleted up some beauties in the 27-28 inch range...WOW!!! Which reminds me....whoever tried to hop on board the party palace during off-hours clearly hasn't seen what Lloyd uses for cleaning fish. And they also don't know who his TWIN BROTHER is... Well done, by the way guys....sounds like a fun day out there
  5. Could it be water or excessive ethanol in the fuel itself? Our little fourstroke was doing exactly what you describe this past summer, and it ended up that someone had run a tank of "regular" octane through it, and the ethanol was mucking everything up. We only run premium to avoid this

  18. So.....catch a tagged perch NOW....and you get to fish some more next year? Or get a prize already? Or.....??? Sounds good anyway....the more fishing festivals, the better!
  19. I definitely wanna see Jay and the Doc's report....Splashopper has the right idea too...sleepin' in a van down by the river....dang those were the good'ol days!!! I will content myself with a bit of smallie action in Minden, and have a 50/50 chance on some night-time shore fishing for eyes as well.

  25. The fact that the OPP said it's likely a write-off, and that it's a '93 would have me thinking yes, it'll be written off. To get the most replacement money though, you need to arm yourself with some information, because I'd expect a pretty low amount from your insurance company. You want to approach it like this: "What can I buy a '93 GMC 4x4 with xxx,xxx kms on it, and x,y,z equipment, and in the same condition as mine was?" Look for all the ads you can find where people are SELLING vehicles like yours, so that you can sya to the insurance company "If I want to replace my truck, here's what it's realistically going to cost me". When my sister's van was written off, she got lowballed as expected. She offered to fax them all of the ads she had found where vans like hers were selling for more than what the ins. co had offered, and they upped the amount. Just my $0.02. Glad you and your family are ok...hope it works out as well as possible for you.
