I understand Viper, but the only real way to see if a boat is "sea worthy" is by taking it out for a day... believe it or not, people will lie to you about what they're selling. I found this out the hard way when I bought my first boat, it leaked like a sieve and the motor would only run in reverse. The best thing to do would be to pay by check and take it out on the water the day after you buy it, if it's not what the seller says it is you can can stop payment on the check and take the boat back to them... I paid cash for my first boat and that won't happen again!

The new ones don't leak! Older used ones... you take your chances! No matter what brand!!! The best thing to do is to take a prospective choice out for a day if it's possible.

I've never been there, but I know folks that have... they say Iceland should be called Greenland and vice versa.

That's too bad, what kind of motor did you have before and why did you get rid of it? I don't think not having a trolling motor would keep me from fishing for 10 weeks! Maybe you should see if Rolls Royce will make you a trolling motor, so when it breaks down they'll fly a mechanic out to fix it for you... instead of waiting your turn for service.

I'd say that Pike probably has a blockage of the gullet like a hook or jig, or a large plastic bait in it's gut that it can't digest or pass.

Excellent catch HF!!! There's a lot to be said for a finesse presentation! Sometimes the big fish ignore the big baits, only to gobble up a delicious little morsel.

Real nice report and pics Cliff!!! That fish doesn't look like it's an ounce over 14 3/4 lbs to me though. I guess the boat is all winterized and put up now?

Hey hey!!! Excellent report Fidel!!! ... I was afeared you were gonna slack on me there for a second! It was great to meet the 3 of y'all... I dunno what Drew is doing hanging out with you and Billy, he seems like such a nice quiet young man. Y'all did better on the fishin than me and Lester did , and I'm sure you and Drew wouldn't have laffed if Billy Boy had fallen off his perch and into the drink eh! I had no idea that there were Bullheads in Nip!!! Man that was a fun trip!!! Lotsa Nyucks around the fire, and Billy's pickin' only made it better!!! I hope everyone can make it again next year, and maybe a few more too!!! Again, it was great meeting and partying with ya!!!
