  1. It's a territorial thing with them, big noise, big territory.
  2. 3M5200.
  3. Brian, don't know if you've seen this contraption, might give you some ideas. http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?topic=297573.0
  4. Whatever the vehicle manufacturer indicates, with a good quality torque wrench. I don't allow torque sticks to come near my nuts.
  5. I think that's about a year old already. But better to know than getting wound up with an auger.
  6. Bearcat, we can't give ours away, just like the rest of the Arctic Cat junk
  7. At first I too wondered, what kind of a hairy thing are we going to wince at. All is good.
  8. Ya, one or two little spot welds from the bottom side will negate taking out to bolts to steal it.
  9. Please quote where it says the motor has to be covered.
  10. Yes you can legally shoot migratory birds from a motorboat. http://Question: While hunting from a boat, may I start shooting at waterfowl as soon as the engine has been turned off? Answer: No. Hunting may only commence once the motor has been turned off and the boat (any boat, canoe or yacht equipped with a motor) has stopped its forward progress. Ah Fang beat me by a keystroke.
  11. If I didn't give you a poke now and then you'd be thinking I was neglecyin ya.
  12. Pinks do not have spots in the dorsal fin. https://www.google.ca/search?q=salmon+and+trout+of+lake+ontario&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=np&source=hp&gfe_rd=cr&ei=42HpU5i_HceGpAX504KIBA
  13. Well the best of health to ya, nice catch. Enjoy your day!
  14. Well that size should do quite fine, maybe just a bad pair. Try for radials next time, D's are bias.
  15. Could quite well be the issue, what size are the tires?
  16. If the edges wear, they're under inflated, if the centers war, they're over inflated. I run load range C 530 x 12 on my trailer, recommended pressure at max is 80 psi. I use about 60 otherwise they bounce like a billy goat. Radials are better if you can get the size.
  17. I'll bet 90% of trailer tires don't get balanced..properly. Most don't even realize they're lug centric and need the adapter plate to spin properly on the balance machine. Why would ya balance trailer tires anyway, there's no one in the boat going down the highway, so what if things shake a bit.
  18. That is miserable. I've driven on all sorts of truck tires, Uniroyal, BFG, GoddforaYear, Firestones, Generals, Michelin and probably a few others. The first five in the list will never make it on a truck of mine. I know the Michelins cost a bunch more but that's sometimes the price to pay. Dealers probably put on the cheapest they can get contracts for while the vehicle is new and hope the customers doesn't come back.
  19. Dry is right, the places I would normally have seen them in early sept were a total bust. Saw a nice bunch of Bolete mushrooms, can't mistake them, the underside looks like sponge rubber, really fine pores instead of gills.
  20. Ya, have one in an old ammo can, greased and ready to go. When you're hours from nowhere, it can be a lifesaver.
  21. If the coupler isn't all the way down on the ball, you can still latch it shut. It may look right, but wait for the first bump.
  22. don't know how many times I've pulled up beside someone to let them know lights weren't working, something flew out of the boat, etc. Some are grateful, others give you the finger.
  23. Jeez, now that's a slab!
  24. Not a bad idea, probably more for the smaller lakes.
