  1. It's a good possibility at it seems your one brake light may be acting as a ground return on the trailer(sounds wierd, but it happens). If you are not getting power on the plug end your truck for brakes, then the problem is in the vehicle. Some vehicles do use a separate fused section for trailer plugs.
  2. Hmmmm, 4 strokes going the way of the dinosaur, well how many 2 stroke land vehicles do you see moving, I think they beat the dinosaurs and 2 stroke outboards will more likely end up there. AFAIK there are already areas in the country that don't allow 2 strokes, regardless of the new technology. I'd rather put up with a bit of weight instead of the ring ting ting rattle shake shake of a 2 stroke.
  3. Do you have a 4 way plug at the rear of the Trailblazer,(1 ground and 3 hot)? Check that with the tester, pin 1 is signal/brake right, pin 2 is signal brake left, pin 3 is park/running lamps. If you have a left signal flashes with the brakes and right signal on, then you are most likely right, bad ground. Pull the bulbs out, clean the inside of the sockets with an eraser tip, clean the bulb bases and contacts and then grease with vaseline. I'll bet that 99% of trailer light faults are ground issues. Personally, I run a dedicated ground wire to each of the lamp bases, soldered and liquid taped, no more problems.
  4. Why do they bother stocking the lake to support a commercial fishery. If it can't sustain the gill netting by natural reproduction, then no point in wasting the money, time and resources to support it.
  5. Ya, the only thing missing is Slap Chop and Billy Mays.
  6. Perch entered must be weighed in at the Perch Derby HQ's at Tudhope Park, west side of the Narrows at #12 and Atherley Rd.
  7. Digital over the air is broadcast on the old UHF band, if you're close enough, you can use a ball of steel wool, bunny ears, UHF antenna. The signal doesn't care if it's caught by Spidermans web or your wifes spagetti strainer, I'm not being crabby, honestly, do some research and get wise. I had words with an employee at an electronics store who was trying to sell a Digital antenna to an older chap for his trailer.
  8. There's always something new to learn, help out others that might get "taken" if they don't know stuff, just a really pleasant place to be.
  9. Eh? last I heard rings were there for compression and allow smooth movement of the piston inside the cylinder...mixing oil and gas in a 2 stroke...
  10. I think that's because we, north of the border haven't really gone digital yet on over the air broadcasting, still using analog. If you live in whats referred to as the Lake O bowl, the you will pick up a number of digital stations from south of the border.
  11. I guess you're going to be the only one at your own perch festival this weekend doesn't open til next weekend.
  12. Step away from the oilcan, the lower the number, the thinner the viscosity, ie, 80 flows easier than 90 at the same temperature
  13. Funny thing is that they are laughing at you too, ever see a jeep trying to mow a lawn, power an outboard or be used as a generator..
  14. I will likely go back tomorrow, I can check cause I may need a new one myself, my old one is getting a bit ratty.
  15. No, sorry, bad description, apply 3 smacks with frozen carp to forehead Lets try this again. Remove your transducer from the suction cup. Lowrance/Eagle/Humminbuzzard and most of the rest have a metal bracket with serrated inserts that can be mounted directly to the back of your boat or to your "home made clamp" if you wish. The bolt that goes through the metal bracket and transducer is tightened sufficiently to hold the transducer at the "right" angle for viewing, but not so tight that if you hit something with the transducer, it will "pop" up or rotate upwards in the bracket to prevent any damage to it. 16. Went to Princess Auto last night, they have the 1500lb swivel marine jacks with the wide tire on sale from $75 down to $45. And, looked at their 28lb rubber coated boat anchor, tag said $53, computer says $44, catalogue says $28, I got it for $28. I wish you could buy boat and motors and....and there.
  17. Did you bring that shopping cart back..
  18. Keep the lowest end of the bracket higher than the bottom of the hull, then it won't impact anything. Use the installation bracket provided for the transducer, if the transducer bumps anything, it's designed to pop up, at least with Lowrance/Eagle products. If you have that stick bracket below hull, you'll have a rooster tail a mile high and look like a doofus.
  19. I suppose that's akin to cumulo granite clouds..you don't have to worry if it's a soft landing.
  20. It's the road that leads to the grain elevators, one street east of the main lights in town on highway 26. The boat launch is on the left side of the road, although as of last week, the docks had not been put in. Good luck.
  21. Ya, but you are always catching up, no way around that one Careful of the banana peel on the dock..
  22. You will have no problem getting a 12V boost that way, only using the + and - posts from one good battery. No need to remove the cables.
  23. I think you're pretty much out of luck for panfish around Collingwood, you "might", and that's a mighty big might get the rare bite on the inside of the harbour at the old grain mills. Wish you luck.
  24. Well glad you're enjoying them, but I'll stick to my guns and say that it's a marketing ploy. Take a Blue Optima Gp 31 only rated at 155 minutes reserve capacity, well over $200 and copmpare it to a standard Gp 31 battery with 205 minutes reserve capacity for $139. Thats a 25% increase in power for a whole lot less money.
