  5. Sorry another thread ruined by our covid cowboys who will not leave it alone. I am going to start modding accounts. I am tired of the reports on people belittling others and spreading half truths on this subject. Take it to P.M. or off the site. thanks Art
  6. This might help you decide o what it will do. To calculate how long a battery will run a motor, let’s have a look at an average setup: 30 lb thrust Minn Kota trolling motor – max 30 amp draw 35 amp hour (Ah) AGM battery and a 50 Ah battery as well Amps drawn Runtime with 35 Ah Runtime with 50 Ah Speed setting Max Medium Low Max Medium Low Max Medium Low 30 lb trolling motor 30 amps 15 amps 5 amps 1.2 hours 2.3 hours 6 hours 1.7 hours 3.3 hours 10 hours The table above will give you an idea of how long a 30 lb trolling motor will run with a 35 Ah and a 50 Ah battery at various speeds. Running the motor at full speed will draw 30 amps per hour, draining the battery in a little more than an hour. Running the motor at half speed will draw 15 amps per hour, meaning you will get 2:20 minutes runtime. Running the motor at the lowest speed setting will draw 5 amps per hour, so you will get 7 hours of run time. That’s not that bad!
  7. For some silly reason we have adults who us the word as a cuss word. This means women, children, and people who just plain don't want to see vulgarity who are on the site have to read them. We are a family site and wish to encourage people to fish, learn and support the great outdoors that Canada has to offer. Art
  8. Thank you all for the input and we have removed the preview tool. We will keep trying to make the site as enjoyable as we can by trying things. Art
  9. Ok, to explain what you are seeing.... there was a new feature release for our forum software that allows you to display thumbnails for posts IF they contain a picture. The idea here is that pictures encourage user engagement and ultimately lead to a more active community. Someone who might not have visited or read a post will sometimes see a picture that captures there interest and so they click to see more and engage. Avatars are still there just on the right side: This is something that we are testing..... so any and all feedback is encouraged. If we don't like this or we don't think it will help engage more user participation then we can simply disable this feature.
  10. Sorry but I am getting tired of the covid arguments on the board. I am getting to many hurt feelings and he said crap reports. They will all be monitored and if it doesn't have a fishing basis it will be locked. Take your Covid facts and fiction to P.M. or somewhere else that likes fighting and mud slinging. Art
  11. This has nothing to do with camping for 3 pages. Art
  12. That really sucks Dan, I am sorry to hear of this and wish it was different. Art
  13. Very cool nice assortment of cameras. Art
  14. Thanks for sharing your winter adventures with us Dave Art
  15. We have had to many people taking sides and arguing about covid rules. With this in mind we are limiting the number of threads as they are causing hurt feelings and arguments. I am sure there are many other places that you can find to have this inflamatory subject discussed. Thanks Art
  16. well done as always Spiel thanks for sharing. Art
  17. What a cruel joke mother nature is playing. Here is hoping for warmer weather for you all. Art
  18. Apply carpet runner plastic (comes in a roll)it is self sticking and used when remodelers are going to be walking on the carpet. The correct answer though is to remove paint and reinstall like Brian said. Art
  19. No offence taken we do have very good advertising rates and would welcome you to discuss them with TJQ He has a few avenues that I am sure could help you increase your business as well as support this site. Good luck and hopefully we can get back to a more normal world this year and fish. Art
  20. Time to put this thread back to bed. If you want any more info it is all spelled out here in the thread. If you want to P.M. each other for additional help you may find that useful as well. Art
  21. What you have chosen is a good set up for general fishing conditions. A MH for perch is no fun but a ultalight is no good for pike so the first rod should be something that does all jobs well. Eventually you will find the direction you will go to start tuning you're equiptment to the species and size you want. Art
  22. Good point Lew Some parts of the program are templates that do not allow us to change them. Art
