  1. The one here isn`t much different, if your looking for a place to go to see about a vacation plan and don`t have a computer it`s the place to go. Ontario is usually well represented with Camps and Lodges. It has become more of a flea market than an outdoor show, for the outdoors man here the only smart move is the time of year, another 2 months and the crowds would be a lot smaller. Has it changed? I think so, seems to be more stuff there every year that isn`t really outdoor related.
  2. Some one used to point out all the time no fish in simcoe! LOL
  3. LOL, most of mine are no longer available except on sites like e-bay. Favorite is a 7 foot 6 inch Falcon flipping stick made for spinning reel with an old Abu 507 closed face unslung reel on it. No bail, no trigger, touch the front of the spool cover and the line releases onto you finger. Spooled with 17# test Stren and no problems, no line twist, I can flip or pitch a 1/8 ounce lure easily, like the perfect night reel nothing for the line to tangle on, no backlashes. Other than that older casting reels, Shimano`s Abu`s and medium priced rods, well cheap compared to some guys. Not so much what your using, it`s what you do with it.
  4. Voice overs?
  5. I hope it all goes well Speed, nothing worse than having your kids or wife sick!
  6. LOL on the bright side your pockets will wear out faster and you won`t have to cut them out.
  7. Never been there, I did look at some websites, standard bass tackle should do the job. Take some lures to cover various depths. Summer smallies, maybe deeper, take some tubes.
  8. I had like 6 300`s and 300c`s, ya the spring load handles weren`t great, I remember the pre-loaded adapters spools, never used them though. I usually put backing on a large capacity spool because they were metal center and used stren. Had a couple of the small capacity spool center break. I used to flip with them tighten the drag all the way, that`s how the handles broke.
  9. I saw dune(sci-fi classic) is Sting gay?
  10. Still waiting for the farmer to show up and plow my drive, he uses a large articulated farm tractor with like a 12 foot blade. Couple of passes and he is done! Traffic is a mess here, parts of interstates closed due to accidents, reporting a record snowfall for Cleveland 15.7? inches in 24 hours. On the bright side it`s on it`s way out weather radar snows it clearing in Huron and Sandusky, 50-60 miles west of Cleveland. Next Tuesday a high of 33 F! LOL summer!
  11. It ain`t pretty out here! LOL Lucky momma doesn`t go to work till noon today, she might not get out of the garage now. Still snowing and blowing, guessing between 12 and 16 inches on the ground. It is supposed to start clearing later in the day.
  12. Can`t tell you if they will void the warranty but power handles have been around for a long time, most that I have seen were for Abu and Mitchell products. Never broke a bail spring on the made in France Mitchell 300`s but I did break a couple of handles. Power handles were a lot tougher.

  14. A BEER BEFORE IT STARTS* A man came home from work, sat down in his favorite chair, turned on the TV, and said to his wife, "Quick, bring me a beer before it starts." She looked a little puzzled, but brought him a beer. When he finished it, he said, "Quick, bring me another beer. It's gonna start." This time she looked a little angry, but brought him a beer. When it was gone, he said, "Quick, another beer, it's gonna start any second." "That's it!" She blows her top, "You dummy! You waltz in here, flop your fat self down, don't even say hello to me and then expect me to run around like your slave. Don't you realize that I cook and clean and wash and iron all day long?" The husband sighed. "Oh crap, it's started. __________________

  16. Glen you got the one that goes both ways? Lot of guys I know use them, Mustang is a popular brand, also the BPS ones and Cabelas. A lot more comfortable than the padded vests. You will leave it on. safer!
  17. Dang we found a weapon of mass destruction? Really bad news for both sides of the G/Ls
  18. Homolka? is that a person? Or like a Jumla?
  19. There is probably close to 8 inches on the ground here already, schools have already called and they will be closed again tomorrow. All kinds of accidents on the highways, some counties have closed their roads except for emergency vehicles. Best bet in weather like this is to log onto OFC and chill out! No travel!
  20. Always good when the kids come home!
  21. The wife got up at 5am around 6 the schools called and canceled for the day, better plan than last time, let them get to school and send them home at noon. Maybe 20 inches of snow from this system here. It`s not nice out now.
  22. LOL me either, no part of that for me!
  23. On the news here this morning Toronto July 22nd.
  24. http://www.futurepundit.com/archives/002545.html They had an interesting program on TV here Friday, Global warming: what you need to know with Tom Brokaw. I am inclined to believe scientists before I believe politicians or business men.
  25. Per each crankbaits, I try to by soft plastics by the hundred so the cost is lower, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits are pretty snag proof so again a lower cost overall, I don`t need to carry as many. Jigs? I make a lot of my own. Topwaters are a bit pricey too depending on what you use. I carry more soft plastics than anything else. I can swim an unweight lizard or worm on the surface over weeds and lilies, swim it on a jig head like a crank, or drag it on the bottom. Plastic are probably more versitle.
