  1. Just curious, China already has been said to fix the value of their currency, can they fix their stock values? In a dictatorship or communist country how is the real value determined?
  2. Roy it is country here where I am at, we had like 21 people arrested last week? at a house(mini farm) for chicken fighting, 6 year old kid and a 16 year old handcuffed and people whining about it. How do the police know how they will re-act. The police need to secure the scene for their own safety, why not whine about the stupidity of the parents taking kids to illegal activities? The police don`t know if the kid will go out to a car and get a gun, LOL everyone has them here and too many wind up in kids hands. Real hard to teach the kids if you don`t know how to act. Ya a me and mine generation. Yours? only if you lock it up and guard it!
  3. Let`s see? Mom and Dad! Took us to Ontario in 1957, put up with "are we there yet" all the way. My wife, she has put up with me for 20 years! 25 if you count the time she spent trapping me! She may be a saint? Some of the people I have worked and fished with, greatness is more or less relative.
  4. Canadians may be more civilized, a couple of area high schools here, including the one my kids have been closed due to bomb threats. Area hospital had bomb threats. Shooting at a Cleveland High school last week and a near riot at another. The respect for others seems to have disappeared here.
  5. Nascar! Ye haw! The only place you can stick 100,000 rednecks and they all git along!
  6. Great pictures Lew, never been there myself, not enough open water! LOL Parliment building looks cool, they did a better job in the old days. Steeples? LOL Glad you and the misses had a good time!
  7. 20-24 perch equals one decent size walleye, go with the walleye?
  8. Marinette`s are very nice boats, the 28`s were pretty popular here on Lake Erie. The 318 Chysler crusaders are good engines, on a lot of boats. Always liked the more classic boat look of the Marinette over the SeaRays and Wellcrafts. 11 foot beam is great, big difference in the amount of room. My SeaRay on had like a 70 gallon tank, one engine a 351 ford. Twins gives you better control for docking. Ya miles per gallon won`t compare with a car! LOL http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/dis...hoto=1&url= Nice Art!
  9. http://en-us.start2.mozilla.com/search?cli...G=Google+Search Just something to look at before you build, with the price of lumber climbing some of the plastic one might not be a bad idea.
  10. Looking at Art`s avatar, him and Roy look a lot alike too!
  11. I think the classic was on in the morning here, I didn`t watch it though, at times I wonder about the message they send any more.
  12. Freezing rain? everything here seems to have a coating! Take care on the roads!
  13. It can be real hard to figure out the laws on buying alcohol here in the states, in Ohio you can buy beer and wine in every store it seems, even gas stations. High powered alcohol used to be sold in state run liquor stores, that changed, they closed a lot of them to move the payroll from the state. Now local beverage stores and some grocery stores are licensed to sell it. Most grocery stores also sell diluted alcohol products. Place we had tournies at in New York was in a dry county, had to go elsewhere to buy. In PA we couldn`t find beer in the grocery store. I know one of the places I went to in Ontario has a beer store and liquor store almost side by side. Hasn`t been a priority for me for a long time. I do laugh at the trouble some people go thru to get it. LOL Like finding a good tackle store I guess.
  14. Good question if it is important to you. In the 60`s two kinds of beer were sold here in Ohio, low test 3.2% and high test 5 or 6%. 18 to 21 year olds could only buy 3.2% and Sunday sales may have been limited to 3.2% The war in Viet Nam changed the thinking, if young people could fight and die for their country they ought to be able to buy high test beer so the law was changed. I don`t recall seeing low test beer for a long time, as I recall the caps on the bottles were a different color. Some time after Viet Nam the old guys that start wars became concerned about young people getting drunk and killing themselves at home, drunk driving ect. So the age limit was raised to 21 for all alcohol. Low test may have been discontinued here. You can buy cigarettes at 18 they won`t kill you as quick, you can`t buy alcohol, but you better register with the selective service system when you reach 18. Old guys are pretty selective on what laws they think are needed for young guys! Saw a news feature that claimed 20% of the alcohol consumed here was by people too young to legally buy it, money speaks louder than laws? Rumblings about the law being changed again, another war, young people dying, military not hitting it`s target figures for a volunteer force. Get them drunk, they will be more willing to fight? LOL 3.2 beer in FLA and they still can`t count votes?
  15. Great pictures and reports! LOL It would take me a week to get that many clothes on!

  17. I don`t know anyone that has one, not rich enough!
  18. LOL GCD, better suits for the executives! Take a well established and thought of reel like the old style Curado, redesign it and the price goes up 70 bucks? Is it 55 percent better than the old model? Probably not, all the tooling was probably paid for to make the old style so more profit per copy, but not enough for the guys at the top? Prices on fishing tackle sold in Canada kind of baffle me anyway, even with the exchange rate they seem high.
  19. Never saw one as a kid on this side of Lake Erie, a bird from TV. Now they are all over!
  20. LOL Terry, bass are earning you money so they need a green card?
  21. Stay home and rest douG! When I first went to the doc that is what I heard, broncitis, you don`t want to be like me!
  22. Hats off to our Canadian Allies! American ice breaker stuck in Lake Erie east of Cleveland, Canadians on the way to a rescue!
  23. Gerritt one of my arguments about some of the tournaments here, not a lot of thought seems to go to the welfare of the fish. I have heard of guys running from Sandusky Bay over to PeeLea, down to Vermillion Ohio. If you are calling it a Sandusky tournament why not limit it to the bay? Running the fish in a livewell for an hour, sometimes in rough water doesn`t seem to make much sense if you truly care about continuing the species. Of course the publicity won`t be as great because you wouldn`t have 20 to 30 pound daily weigh ins. Just seems more geared to promoting sponsers high dollar boats and motors because it puts people in the position they need one to be competitive. Not a lot of logic to me, are you a better fisherman because you can run 50 or 60 miles? Or just richer?
  24. I have never seen ketchup chips here, not really in a hurry to. Vinegar chips remind me of summers eve.
