I will be going to Ontario for walleye and northern fishing this summer and would like to purchase a new reel . Can someone please explain the differences and advantages of spinning reels, bait casting reels and spin casting reels? Also, if you have any advise on a specific reel that would be a good choice for an amatuer, I would appreciate the help. I was at Cabella's over the weekend and was amazed at all of the choices. We decided on a fly in trip in mid June using Air-dale service to either Fred Lake or Tony Lake near Wawa. Anyone have any experience on these lakes..or any other lakes in this area. Thanks. Pat

We are planning a fishing trip around the Chapleau area in June and someone warned us about the Mayfly hatch and it's impact on fishing . Is the timing of the hatch period consistent from year to year ...and if so , are we likely to hit it if we have our trip from June 16 - June 21? Any advise is appreciated. Pat

We are thinking of a June fishing trip to Dog Lake's Fox Den Lodge in the Village of Missanabie ( Northeast of Wawa ). Does anyone have any first hand experience they could share? How is the fishing in that lake ? What about the Lodge..is it well run ? Your advise is appreciated. Plkazoo

My brothers and I are planning a week of fishing in Ontario this June. Anyone have any suggestions on good spots ..could be fly-in, but it doesn't need to be. We are not fishing experts by any stretch , so we do not know where the best places to go are. We would like to catch Bass, and Walleye . Any suggestions within 4 hours of Sault Ste Marie? Thanks,
