  1. Never saw one as a kid on this side of Lake Erie, a bird from TV. Now they are all over!
  2. LOL Terry, bass are earning you money so they need a green card?
  3. Stay home and rest douG! When I first went to the doc that is what I heard, broncitis, you don`t want to be like me!
  4. Hats off to our Canadian Allies! American ice breaker stuck in Lake Erie east of Cleveland, Canadians on the way to a rescue!
  5. Gerritt one of my arguments about some of the tournaments here, not a lot of thought seems to go to the welfare of the fish. I have heard of guys running from Sandusky Bay over to PeeLea, down to Vermillion Ohio. If you are calling it a Sandusky tournament why not limit it to the bay? Running the fish in a livewell for an hour, sometimes in rough water doesn`t seem to make much sense if you truly care about continuing the species. Of course the publicity won`t be as great because you wouldn`t have 20 to 30 pound daily weigh ins. Just seems more geared to promoting sponsers high dollar boats and motors because it puts people in the position they need one to be competitive. Not a lot of logic to me, are you a better fisherman because you can run 50 or 60 miles? Or just richer?
  6. I have never seen ketchup chips here, not really in a hurry to. Vinegar chips remind me of summers eve.
  7. Sort of a standing joke between me and one of my best friends" why are you calling me? it`s not fishing season" We keep in touch, for 30 years, do stuff together besides fish, but not often, I know I can count on him if I need help, I try to avoid that. I am there for him! Just the way it is sometimes. Cliff said it well!
  8. Always nice to have the family safe at home!
  9. http://www.dobass.com/07MADNESS/JUNE16JUNE17.html
  10. Sorry to hear it, you just never know what will happen.
  11. Tackle bags for me too, easier to carry, easier to load with tackle for a specific species just take out some boxes and plug in others.
  12. I hope Sheri gets to feeling better! Never broke any ribs myself, but pulled some muscles in them, nothing like a jab with each deep breath. Always sad to see that stuff happen Lew, a changing society.
  13. Just something to consider, residents may be taxed by the town for the upkeep of the park, non-residents won`t be, a reasonable fee for non-residents seems fair. Residents shouldn`t have to pay increased taxes to maintain a facility that is used by everyone. It is easier to collect and less expensive to the town to collect fees at an organized event. Having someone on duty to collect fees for 2 or 3 boats a day doesn`t make a lot of sense. A lot less problems if you treat places with respect.
  14. "and 1 large bottle of laquer that quite frankly, I likely inhaled half of it." LOL that might explain some of the bright colors! Nice work!
  15. Dang, beer, wings! Good job Kemper!
  16. No closed Muskie season here and the snow is melting! Bass are prettier though!
  17. If you get out on a windy day you will be glad for the extra power, two motors(gas and electric) is a plus! it beats the heck out of rowing if you have a problem!
  18. Dad is at the top of the list for me, he made me fishing crazy. LOL We didn`t agree on what to keep or how many but he was always ready to take us or go with us. Gets tough picking after that, fished with some good people. A lot from the board would have been a plus!
  19. I have a lot of rods, don`t think I have a two piece, if I have it`s gathering dust in the barn. Mine are in the rod locker of the boat or in the van if I am shore fishing. I even carried them in my chevette for fishing trips. Just have to be careful with them, I don`t have many that are less than 6 feet, and they don`t get used much. The quality of 2 piece rods has gone up over the years though.
  20. Only skinney fish need to enter? LOL
  21. LOL, here is the whole problem, Lord Mayor? Like god? I don`t have any idea how your laws work up there. We have a small community park here, it is open to everyone. Do they receive federal funds to maintain the parks and access? Sounds like they want their own exclusive little park.
  22. Cabin Fever hits here too, grumpies!
  23. To quick a spring thaw hurts the walleye spawn here, muddies up the spawning grounds and the silt can hurt the eggs( Bury them)
  24. I the last week or so there have been 3 or 4 gas station awnings over the pumps here collapse on the cars below injuring people and damaging their cars. Just something to think about while your pumping gas.
