Holy Good God! From watching that video, a lot of people are going to lose their boats because they haven't picked them up. How do you not take action right away. Some of those boats look like they're pretty valuable.

Tent Trailers definitely make camping easier, particularly in foul weather. It's easier to wait out a rainy/stormy day in a tent trailer. We had one when I was a kid and it was a big step up comfort wise from the tent. I would definitely still have a screened dining tent though. That is really a must when camping in my opinion.

Nice Pics! Looks like everyone's having fun. Good Job making the best of the weather. A while back my daughter said she couldn't go outside because it was raining. I said, don't worry, you won't melt. Well that attitude has taken off and she uses that line on me now. LOL

I started wearing my PFD after reading about the tragedy on Lake Erie out of Ohio last year. That was a real eye opener for me. Really made me think about how real the threat is.

Holy Cow!!! What a helluva game I listened to tonight. My wife requested a seafood feast and I was happy to oblige. I wasn't too optimistic after we were down 5 to nothing, and was feeling even worse when we were down 8 to 1 in the 3rd. But against all odds the Jays scored 3 in the 5th and an unbelievable 9 in the 7th without a single out being recorded. It was a blast to listen to. I'm glad I didn't bail. I probably would have, but I had so much prep work to do I thought, I might as well see how Bo Schultz pitches for a few innings. And then the improbable. The streak is alive. Can't wait for tomorrow's game.

Well I'm no expert, but I have been working on my perennial garden for the last 5 years. There are only so many popular perennials that grow in Ontario that are widely available. What ever is in your garden now is very hardy after the last 2 winters we've had. If you post clear pics, I can do my best with identifying what you have. As for caring for them, for starters, just weed the area around the plant well and and side dress with compost, then cover with biodegradable mulch, (Not rubber pellets). It helps if you know the difference between the weeds and the desirable plants but it should hopefully be obvious. LOL. A basic garden fertilizer can be applied if you think it really needs it but I find compost has most of what's needed.

I don't get it either. When my young family goes for a picnic, we pick up every single piece of litter we create and anything we can find nearby. I had to teach the kids not to pick up broken glass though. When I was a kid, we used to live on a street between a variety store and a large complex of town homes. We'd be sitting out on our porch and people would drop litter (wrappers and such) onto our lawn while we watched. It was one of the big reasons we only lasted a few years in that brand new home. My Dad just couldn't stand it.

Sunday night's 9th inning was the most fun I've had listening to the game on my Grundig in a long time. No Sportsnet, so I can't watch but I actually like to listen the the game on my radio. You could absolutely hear the energy in the building as the inning unfolded. Muni's leadoff double got the crowd going. And then tonight, the starting pitcher chased out with only 1 out. Let's hope they keep it going for a while.

I store my Tracker Proguide 162 on a shorelander trailer in my garage because the trailer has a swing away tongue. The boat, with motor mostly down and almost touching the wall just barely fits. I have a couple of inches of clearance at most. I was delighted to find that it fit when I got it home. I will measure my garage floor from back to front and let you know how deep it is. I'm gonna say a swing away tongue is a must though. Edit: The length of the garage is 19 feet 6 inches of usable space. It's a double car garage and is 18 feet wide.

Those are some big horses. I used to fish carp in the Thames river here in London where I live. I sometimes used corn, but more often I used some soft white bread (think Wonder). Grab a finger full of it in and roll it up into a ball. Sink the hook into that and cast it out. If corn's not working, you can try that.

I've been going to Lake Tomiko almost every year since 2003 and I know the lake pretty well, although there is always more to learn. I talked to a very knowledgeable person with a camp on the lake last year and discovered a bunch of new spots. I could PM you some info. The only thing is that I haven't fished in the fall, only in the late spring and summer. If I can find my map of the lake I could fill it out and mail it to you. Maybe the lodge I stay at could send me one. I'll have a look and see what I can do. I'm happy to share what I know.

Yes, closure for the family will be a good thing. I wonder if finding him will produce any clues as to what happened to him other than just succumbing to the harsh reality of a Northern Ontario winter?

Nice! The kids look like they're having a blast. It's nice to see the kids so willing to hold the fish at that age. I was surprised when my 3 year old caught her first rock bass and was willing to hold it up for her first picture. One of my faves. Those are some nice pigs right there too! (The bass, LOL)

It is more than likely that it simply needs a tune-up and carb cleaning. If you can find someone who is reasonable, it can be fixed for much less than a new one. As has been discussed here on this forum, looking after a lawnmower these days with all the ethanol in today's gas requires more effort than it did 20 years ago. My Toro sometimes acts up, where in it starts, but then stops a few seconds later. If I take the bolt that houses the float bowl out (be careful with the float bowl gasket) and inspect it, a piece of dirt or whatever is lodged in there. Clean it up good and put it back together and it's fixed. If it's 5 years old, it could probably use a tuneup anyways, but it's probably something simple.

I am wading into a subject that I know very little about but I thought I would at least share my layout for comparison because I think it's similar to yours. I have a Tracker Pro Guide 16 WT with a 2012 Mercury 60 HP 4-stroke. My boat is a fairly stocky, heavy boat for it's length. The max HP is 75. With just me and my normal fishing gear, the boat get's up on plane fairly quickly, (under 10 secs I would think, although I have never timed it), and tops out at approx 30-31 mph at 5800-6000 RPM. Trimming the motor is required to achieve that speed. With another full sized adult, (ie not my 40 lb daughter LOL), time to plane is noticeably longer, probably more like 15 seconds, but again I haven't timed it. I am a new boat owner, and if I forget to trim the motor back down before taking off I notice substantial difficulty and immediately remember to adjust the trim back down. I had hoped the performance would be a little better with two + adults but for a first boat to learn on I'm pretty happy. It would seem that your package is fairly similar to mine. I'm surprised that your time to plane and top speed is so much different than mine given the similar boat style and motor size and prop pitch. I'm wondering if there isn't something else going on to help explain it. Trying the other props might yield useful information, but I would consider other factors as well. Good Luck! Bill

He was probably just trying to free the ATV until the last minute. Not a smart idea. It makes you wonder how an ATV could get stuck though. I suppose photos would help.

Wow. I've learned a lot from this thread already. I knew chainsaws could be sharpened of course, but I didn't know they needed it all that often. I was borrowing one for a while last year. Now I'm wondering how sharp it was.
