  1. For those who asked, the Tackle Industries announcement has now been posted. http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=60286&pid=663904&st=0&&do=findComment&comment=663904 Purchase a rod and get a Canadian Made Huskie Muskie Fluoro Casting Leader as a bonus. http://huskiemuskie.ca/?page_id=6 Cheers Phil
  2. Ouch for sure. I didn't lose my stuff, but I know the feeling. Some idiot striped all my ice gear out of the back my truck as I ate breakfast one morning. Lots of custom baits and hard to get ones. Ice fishing hasn't been the same since. Good luck bud!
  3. Nice fish gents. Awesome. Would of been nice to have sat in that boat with ears wide open.
  4. I was looking forward to your review Dave as you fish in the harshest conditions up there and would pull no punches. I am glad you liked the line and it held up to some of the hype mentioned here. Thanks for taking the time to post and the heads up on tying a thicker leader and a uni. I haven't had this issue, but I only use 8 and 10lb Flouro. As for the coating Kickingfrog, on the reels I have spooled up it since last spring I have yet to show any loss of coating. Even on my jerkbait set up and it gets a work out in the fall.
  5. Ah, could be three from tree to tree, or one long one according to Dr. Derring's Singing Herrings said he. (tgif)
  6. Lucky man NAW. Does any know the make? I think it is a Horrocks Ibbotson How about the rough age of this rod? 50's What would an old rod like this be worth in this condition? About $20 - $30 bucks. Nice rod. It may of actually been a 4 pc at one time. Not 100% sure, but there may of been another butt section with a fly reel seat. The one pictured is the spinning. I still have some of my grandpa's, they're priceless. Looks sharp hanging on the wall in the basement too. edit Just saw Fisherman mentioned the 4pc already.
  7. Hey All, I just got this in an email and then saw it on another site. Thought I would share. MUSTANG SURVIVAL ISSUES VOLUNTARY RECALL NOTICE ON MD2010 & MD2012 model 22LB Inflatable Personal Flotation Devices http://www.mustangsurvival.com/22lb-product-notice
  8. Looking at that boat, I surely doubt we have to go to far from this forum to know who it is!
  9. Give him the rod back and talk to your friend. I have a feeling your friend may need you more then just going fishing. Ask him what's up.
  10. Very Jealous Mike, looks like a great time. As for the fish name, I'd take a guess, but my Spanish is very limited and I doubt it is called a "Cervesa Senor"
  11. For those interested, eTackle.ca is going to be a Tackle Industries Canadian retailer. Finalizing things now, so if you are interested contact me as I will have a special offer for OFC'ers on my first order.
  12. She must have the patience of her Dad! You got that for her a while ago from me. She's still got you wrapped eh Lew!
  13. Brave man, my misses alone in Costco is a serious threat to my "bank account" security. Especially when I leave her to hit a sports store.
  14. Seems like th Curado 300E has been a popular Pike and light Musky reel. I have one left at a great price and free shipping to Ontario. Just a heads up.
  15. I echo what Pigeontroller said above. You are a lucky man fish or no fish. Great post.
  16. Everytime I see these threads I get that Christopher Cross song in my head. So please stop!
  17. Awesome video Denis. We just grabbed a couple, will be some pretty cool on the water videos coming along very soon.
  18. I asked the same thing to someone else Chris. Head east once you get one Paul..
  19. Personally like the larger holes. Looking forward to getting one in my hands.
  20. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Duracast, order is on it's way.
  21. For a guy who chucks big baits, on big water - alot, your opinions worth more then 2 cents Mike!
  22. Will do sir, should know shortly. Adding the Tackle Industries and the Raven line should boost our Rod section nicely. One of the gents on our pro-staff really likes these rods and put me on to them. 2yr Warranty is nice!
