  1. Sorry Mike, you left out two drift socks, tungsten pencil weights, a pop r and a moss boss. Your Fired, new ad up in busniess section looking for help.
  2. Good points Mike. We fish a pond compared to the water you talk about.
  3. They include Nature Hiking and Nature Observation/Bird Watching but leave out fishing? I made sure they know about my disappointment. If you feel the same please make sure you note it as well.
  4. Me too. Bell sinker, split shot, 6 inches of line, hook. Ziplock of corn in vanilla extract. Cast out, tighten up the line, squish a piece of bread on the line as a strike inticator and to give them a lil slack to suck it up with no resistance. Wait. My girls love carping.
  5. Lew, just launch by the Nuke Plant. Haven't had trailer paint chip in years.
  6. Naw, I am sure you have some kicking around. Or sassy shads.
  7. bring some shiver shads, finesse fish or other fluke style baits with ya.
  8. A 3 yr old with a float reel? That is awesome. You have to do a vid of that once she gets used to it. I was pumped when my 4 yr old could flip the bail and cast a spinning reel! I would go the fly reel route for sure.
  9. No sir, the shorelines are not open. However, in some of the areas I fish east and west of me the 20 boundry does not follow in shore the same as it does in other areas.
  10. Just getting dailed in on Lake Ontario shorelines and bays for Pike with the umbrella rig and it closed Mar 31..... or so I thought. Just had a hard look at the map boundry details between FMZ 20 and FMZ 17 Pike open year round.

  12. I am debating to go as I was asked ot join a team, but it is Bass opener. Still on the fence.
  13. Just shared the auction to the masses Mike. Good Luck, about 1/2 hour to go!
  14. I got our teams done by Valley Fashions from Winnipeg. I am really happy with them. From what I have seen WooDoo does some great Shirts too.
  15. My luck I'd roll up in the wifes van and have the 3/4 ton at home. Hope all are ok!
  16. Hey maybe the $200 bucks will deter the one wizard from going for a swim for the 4th time.... probably not.
  17. I am still torn. You should be accountable if you put yourself is a dangerous situation and have been warned. Your the one flipping the coin IMO. But Billy does make some good points. Where do you draw the line? Extreme skiers? Rock Climbers? Guys fishing in a Canoe in February at the nuke plant outflow in 4 fters?
  18. What if it was one person. Do you think they would get charged the rescue fee?
  19. Not sure that would even cover wages of the call in emergency staff. PS. mods it appears there was two threads posted about this at the exact same time, if it is an issue feel free to pull this one if you like.
  20. $200 bucks each. Seems low to me.. My linkhttp://www.thestar.com/news/article/1153484--anglers-rescued-from-lake-simcoe-ice-floe-ordered-to-pay-200-each
  21. Give it a shot all, it's worth taking them out at night. The glow sticks are the key I think. I hear you on the wife part Ryan. You have to word it right. I told the misses, There is ice 3 hours from here and I can go ice fishing with her or take her down the street in the late evening. It wasn't an issue after that. Thanks Gents, lots more to come and on Canadian Waters. We are just getting started! Not all with my ugly mug in them either.
  22. Hey all, Time is tight for me nowadays as I burn the candle at both ends. I wanted to take my lil one fishing. But our plans got cancelled so I made it up buy taking her late evening / night fishing! What a blast. I put the little glow sticks on her float and she absolutely loved it. She could see the bites and totally freak when the light disappeared. If you haven't tried panfishing at night with the little ones, give it shot! Just thought I would share. Phil
  23. Probably totally unfair, but I split the barrel on a mossberg 12ga. Saw the split just as I was about to put another round through it. Can't help but be a little gun shy with them now. (ouch pun) That being said a friend of mine got the 3 barrel Mossberg set, I never fired it but it felt really nice and the price is good.
  24. I hate to write this, but I had a black lab that was very very well trained and showed zero aggression. As a pup I used to put his food in my hand and put it in his mouth, also used to bang pots and pans and shout as he ate. (relate happy times to loud noises, makes them less gun shy) When he was still young around 5 he took a swipe at me out of the blue. Way out of his character. Took him to the vet, he was very sick, very sick. Take the advice others mentioned above and have him looked at. If he is healthy, maybe he forgot the rules and needs a reminder like sinker said.
