  1. Nothing like a campfire, I will stay up until the wee hours to enjoy one. If I camp near Lew he can keep it going all night for me! Wow Lew 3:00am! What time do you go to bed?
  2. Wow what a scary story. You and your dog are very lucky to be alive.
  3. I agree with Garnet. Remember that an opinion is like an A**hole, everybody has one! All of the younger generation like my daughter's in their 20s say that Facebook is now for the older generation like the hockey and soccer Mom's. I can't be bothered with it and suspended my account 8 years ago. Just stop reading it.
  4. Great one Cliff! I will share that one with my Mother-In-Law!
  5. I was thinking about the recent departure of Don Cherry and Mike Babcock and think they could start up a new show called Coachless Corner!
  6. Mr. Howell from Gilligan's Island 😎
  7. I mentioned in another post about boat brands to buy about just getting some of the rivets replaced on my Legend. I took it to Heritage Marine in London and was very satisfied with the results. They to full tear downs and rebuilding there. You might want to consider this as an option.
  8. I have a 2000 17' Legend with the riveted hull and "100 gauge" aluminum. I just dropped $5,000 on the boat having it gutted in order to replace 9 rivets. 5 were gone and another 4 were leaking. The 1/2" plywood floor was replaced as well with 1 1/2" thick laminated plywood and of course new carpeting. Lot's of labour to repair it. Two years into owning the boat from brand new I had it back to Legend to replace rivets in the same area of the hull. I decided to fix up the boat because we plan to use it for many more years. The quality of the cockpit was not very good on the boat as well. I've had to re-mount it with extra screws a few times now. I can't speak for the quality of new boats welded or riveted, however, this was my experience. If I bought a new boat tomorrow it would be a Lund.
  9. What a beauty Simon. Were you by yourself when you caught it? Getting a big fish like that off of the hook and lifting for a photo on your own can be nerve racking!
  10. Very touching Cliff.
  11. Wow Wayne, you do such quality work! Very Nice restoration Bud ☝️
  12. In Pig Latin it was a Northinicus, Pyticus!
  13. Very sad, I wonder how many people buy a used cruiser from someone else and don't know the rules around using the blowers? The marina operators should also ensure that the blowers are running during and after the fueling process.
  14. This guy is standing at the bar when a rather large woman walks up to him and asks for his number. He replies by asking if she has a pen? She says yes and he replies back that she better get back to it before the farmer finds her missing!
  15. That makes the joke even more funny that you are from there!
  16. I love it!
  17. The Dodge got "RAMMED"!
  18. This will be fun! One of my favourites: Prime Minister Jean Chretien was meeting with officials in Flin Flon. It was a very hot day and the ceremonies took place outside in a local grandstand. The Mayor was surprised to see that Chretien was wearing a large fox fur hat, despite the heat. After a while the mayor leaned over and spoke up. "Excuse me, Mr. Prime Minister, but I can't help wondering why you are wearing that fox hat when it is so warm?" Chretien shrugged. "Well, you know 'ow it is", he replied. "My wife, she is da dresser in da family, so I always take 'er advice. If I go to de Maritime, she say 'Wear da toque'. If I go to Calgaree, she say 'Wear da stetson'. Dis time she ask me where I go; I say Flin Flon. She say 'Flin Flon! Where da fox hat ??' So I did!"
  19. Thanks for the feedback Dan.
  20. I think I found a place called Heritage Marine in London. Anyone ever deal with them for a repair or upgrade? The owner's name is Jim Ward.
  21. Hi Folks, Can anyone recommend a good place in the GTA that can take apart the decking on my boat and replace 7 missing rivets? They might also need to place some of the floor boards. I am willing to drive a couple of hours if necessary in order to have a good job done. Thanks! Warren
  22. Holy cow!
  23. It looks like sonar not "Radar"!
  24. Never stand in front of the dish on an old microwave tower!
  25. One thing I have learned in business is to always stick to the facts. Don't make it personal and especially in a public forum.
