  1. I've posted these pictures before but what the heck, I'd rather look and boats, motors and soft water than snow and ice Bought this one last spring and it's a fantastic boat that runs 50+ MPH (about 82K) on the GPS and makes an excellent casting platform on rough water 1880 Skeeter with 150 Yamaha 4 stroke with an SS prop & 80 pound, 62" Fortrex bowmount Lowrance 7200 Globalmap GPS on the dash along with a 510C and another 510C on the bow When it's cold & wet outside there's a fully enclosed stand-up top
  2. Jeeeez Terry, you carry more fish'n gear on your Ski-Doo than I carry in my boat
  3. I'll be heading down too, probably Monday. Don't need anything but it's always nice to look at the new stuff.
  4. It looks good Jamie and I'll be watching for the show in June. Nice to see you making the big time my friend. BTW, not sure now if I'll have time for the Ottawa visit, but I'll let you know if & when.
  5. It's been a fun ride TJ and all the best in the next 10 years too.
  6. Actually Roy, I think you'll find 17 degrees works better
  7. Definetely good meeting up with you Ian...........small world eh ?? Congrats on that Raptor and as you say, it's a beast fer sure and looks like it belongs in one of those Baja multi-day desert races Best of luck with the new ride Ian and hopefully it'll be everything your lookin for, but from the things I've read about, I'm sure it will be. Thanks Blaque, it's good to hear your positive comments about the 150. Sorry I can't help you with the info on the monthly payments as I didn't finance mine, but they've had some fantastic incentive packages lately that were hard to pass up, but if I'm not mistaken, some of the deals were ending as of today. Don't know what deals will be availabe next June but hopefully you find something good.
  8. Best of luck to your dad Mike.
  9. I knew you'd like that colour, Art
  10. I heard 4 more guys went thru different areas around Peterboro too but sounds like they all got out safely. Sad to hear these stories every year, but it always seems to happen.
  11. That was the exact reasoning I used Rich, I told Diane that the burghundy / white Skeeter just didn't look right behind the beige truck and I'd have to change it or look foolish goin down the hiway
  12. Definetely soft water for me, from early spring till the season shuts down mid-December. Standing on the ice staring down at a frozen hole is sorta like watching bowing on TV There's other things in life rather than fishing and winter is the time for them. Course, that's only my opinion
  13. Very impressive work Dara, specially cutting the dovetails by hand !! You've made some beautiful furniture and it's really good to see you posting your projects lately
  14. CFTO also had video of someone doin donuts Brian.....crazy stuff fer sure. Boyz being boyz I spose
  15. Wonderful news Brian & congrats to the whole family !!
  16. I'm not an icefisherman at all Michael, but I drove across the Causeway at noon today and it was really nice to see so many folks out there enjoying themselves while fishing thru the Kawartha ice for the 1st time.
  17. Very nice lookin boat & she should scoot right along with that 150
  18. Howdy folks We headed to my buds place north of Peterboro yesterday morning for New Years Eve just after I posted this thread and just got home an hour ago. I put about 200 miles on the truck and hafta say, it's by far the most comfortable & smoothest riding truck I've ever driven...really really nice !! I purposely went onto some rough snow covered back roads just to tryout the 4x4 and it worked extremely well. And Bernie, thanks for the tips, I'm extemely fussy about all my gear and always keep it maintained in accordance with manufacturers recommendations....and then some. Anyways, thanks to all for the positive feedback and I think I'm gonna enjoy this truck for a long time.
  19. I purchased a new 2010 F-150 and picked it up from the dealership last night. I went with the 5.4 litre, 310 HP so it'll be good for towing the new boat and the 4x4 with 18" wheels will come in handy when I move north to snow country in February. It's got a folding, hard tonneau and I had the spray in bed liner applied too. Also got the rear mounted camera to make backing up to the trailer tongue a bit easier. I'm heading north of Peterboro this morning so it'll be good to get the feel of it on the hiway.
  20. We buy the 925 gram can of Maxwell House for $5-$6 and even though I drink a pot every morning it's still waaaaaaaaay cheaper than Timmies, but when I'm travelling in the truck I probably spend more on Timmies than gas. I went to P'Boro & back yesterday and drank 2 large ones. As for the cigarettes, I bought a new truck in '96 and though I didn't smoke, my wife still did and I told her she wasn't allowed to smoke in the new ride and she said "OK, I'll only smoke in the 1/2 that I payed for" Kinda tough to argue with that logic
  21. I think so too Glen, I have a few friends with them and their all very satisfied. I went with the SuperCrew in Red Candy Metallic with the XTR package and will be picking it up from the dealership later today after they spray on the bedliner and install the tonneau cover.
  22. I always respect your opinion on all things mechanical Bernie, and am happy to hear your thoughts on the 5.4 litre as it's what I went with on my new truck, and the 310 HP should work well for towing my boat which is over 3000 lbs
  23. I just bought a brand new 2010 F-150 XTR crewcab and pick it up on Wednesday, but guess I better not attach a plow to it eh ??
  24. I didn't need any fishing gear at all but it was still a wonderful Christmas. Hopefully everyone else had an enjoyable day too.
  25. That's just about the most ignorant god dammed remark I've ever seen posted on this board, but it seems typical coming from you.
