  1. Watched CTV this morning and it showed the trailer park where 40 odd house trailers were destroyed, but there were no deaths or serious injuries. Unbelievably lucky.
  2. It's pretty obvious that Mister Bear was a wonderful friend to you Jer, and I'm sure he felt the same about you. Always a terrible day when we have to make that decision, but we know we're doing the best for our pals. That was a beautiful tribute to your friend. You have my condolances Jer, I'm also a dog lover.
  3. Thanks Dave, I luv stories like that

    earthquake?

That IS wierd with them being so close to me....maybe they were in an F-150 also

    earthquake?

I live on a dirt road and was driving along it while listening to the quake report on Peterboro radio but didn't feel anything..... Gotta luv the suspension on an F-150 I got home a couple minutes later and my wife said everything was shaking in the house.
  6. I also got a look earlier today, perhaps it was just a teaser of what's to come
  7. I was wondering why your pooch was in Art's truck
  8. Never thought of you as a bass boat kinda guy Joe, always picture you in the camo Jon That spare prop is already on the shopping list.
  9. I spose you could be working in lots worse places, eh Dan ?? Great story and as always, fantastic pictures, specially the one of the wolf !!
  10. Thanks Joe, lotsa good pictures there. I really missed being there this year but like I said earlier, I'll be heading up there in 11 days so that sorta takes the sting out. Looks like Kevin has done a good job of extending the docks to deeper water. Seems like a much smaller group this year. Hard to believe how low that water is compared to other years and I'll bet you and Art were the only 2 that felt safe running around there with the jetboat, eh ?? That rig of yours would shine in that skinny water. Did you get up into the Muskrats or West Bay area at all ??.... just wondering if the weeds are sparce up there as well.
  11. Seems the birds like waterfront property too Steve
  12. What a fantastic story and amazing pictures !!!! No wonder your proud of your Mom
  13. Well, your hard work & determination finally paid off and you were rewarded with your 1st ever pickeral Jack, so congrats to that !! Fishing can be frustrating at times, specially when your trying for a new species, but once you figure out their habits and what they like to munch on, you'll be boating them all the time. Don't ever be afraid to ask questions
  14. The canoe has right of way Vinnie, but morons like you encountered today don't go by the rules anyways.
  15. Thanks for that Pete, sounds like a fun day for you & Nick. Congrats to him for his 1st ever musky, he'll remember that one for a long time. Sure hope your gonna frame that picture and hang it in a prominent place for all his buds to see
  16. the-instructor already explained that this fish was caught in zone 15, NOT 17 and is a legal fish to keep. Unfortunately, this post has been altered and some responses have been deleted so now it's hard to figure out what's going on
  17. That's great Brian, really nice clear pictures. I used to have a cheapo still camera that would supposedly take pictures underwater. I thought it would be good to take some nice release shots of fish beside the boat but nothing ever turned out for me. Story of my life
  18. You sound like a pretty nice guy Vinnie !!
  19. Atta boy Larry, she's a real beaut and a great start to the year fer sure !! Gotta tell ya though, you sure got some weird lookin skies out there in your part of the country
  20. Ain't that the truth. I'll bet there's very few on this board that haven't done something foolish in a boat over the years, I know I certainly have. Myself, my bro and my dad were fishing 3 mile Lake many years ago when one of us stood up to have a pee and the boat flipped. We were all thrown into the water but fortunately we were all very strong swimmers and were close to shore but it sure could have turned bad in a hurry if things had been different. So very sad to hear stories like this where a couple buds are just out enjoying themselves and they end up dying.
  21. If you like to use a 2 way swivel, like I do on my musky rods, you can get small plastic beads with a hole thru them that you can slide on your line before the swivel. When the the plastic bead hits your guide insert it won't do any damage.
  22. I know absolutely nothing about this boat but just the fact that it's worth less than $100 and comes from Wal-mart would be enuff to make me think it's good for nothing more than the backyard swimming pool. I could very well be wrong, but I know I certainly wouldn't be taking it on a lake with all my fish'n gear But that's just me.....
  23. Thanks for the update Jb, doesn't sound as if the water levels have improved too much up there. Guess I better go out and buy a cheapo prop for my boat.
  24. Not a problem at all Bill.....Group hug for everybody !!
  25. That reel is a quality product Mike, you'll be happy with it.
