One of the main reasons many of us no longer bother to post fishing reports anymore Roy. Far too many "experts" around here who seem to take pleasure in screwing up fishing stories. Just like this one, Steve always puts up excellent reports with very detailed descriptions as the where the fish are, what depth and even the best baits to use, yet some folks still try to ruin this post.

Thanks Joey, I'll watch for that rock. I remember a couple years back there were no weeds there either and the fishing was really bad. We'll just have to spend a bit more time in our search. Really lookin forward to getting back up there.

When I was watching those useless punk cowards burning the police cars and destroying property, the expression "shoot to kill" kept running thru my mind.

I can only get a couple of the pictures to open Joey but it sounds like you & Paul had a fantastic week up there. Sorry I missed you this year, but a few of us are heading up next Saturday for a week. I'm assuming the 46"er Paul got was a musky ?? Tough luck with the boat cover and the traffic screw-up, but other than that it's great to hear you got home OK

Funny, but I'm just the opposite when I'm looking for a boat ramp. I've got a huge amount of $$$$ invested in my boat & truck, a small fortune in fishing tackle, plus whatever I spend on gas for both the truck & boat, along with whatever other expenses are required for a day of fishing. After all that, the last thing I'm concerned with is another $15 to launch the boat. A decent marina will normally have a parking lot, a nice level concrete ramp, a good dock to tie the boat to while I move the truck and often gas pumps if required. I always scratch my head at the many times on this board where folks will plan a day on the water but will ask where they can launch a boat for free. Maybe it's just me, but the fee for a good ramp is the smallest expense I'll incure all day, but is one of the best investments.

That's what it's all about, right there !! Too bad you can't frame that and hang it on the wall.

The year was 1963 Roy and me & my bud were at Danforth & Birchmount driving past Scarboro Arena and there was a huge fight going on between 2 biker gangs with coppers and paddy wagons all over the place. Being the inquistive 16 year old that I was at the time, I parked the car and went to get a better look....really bad move The coppers were right in the midst of the fight and were grabbing everybody that didn't move fast enuff and I happened to be in the way. I was handcuffed, thrown in the paddy wagon with the bikers and spent the next 2 days in the old Don Jail before bail would be set, in what would become the absolute worst weeknd of my life Moral of the story.....if there's trouble brewing and the coppers tell you to beat it.....you better scram or pay the consequences !! Funny thing though, I never held a grudge with the police and fully understood why things happened the way they did.

According to the news the fella in the car had some mental issues and was actually living in the car. Trouble is, too many folks like to complain about the police doing their job, but if they DON'T check on these types of situations and something nasty were to happen, then folks are gonna complain about that they DIDN'T do their job.

I keep my boat real clean all the time Roy and usually wash it & vaccum after every trip. Same as my truck, it usually gets washed a couple times a week too. I may be kinda fanatical about that sorta thing, but I enjoy putzing around with my stuff.

I did mine with the pressure washer last weekend and it came out looking like new carpet. After the pressure washer, I used the shop vac then let it sit in the sun for a couple hours and it was done. Have the transom of your boat on the downside of a slope if posssible and pull the drain plug and 99% of the water will drain out as your doing it. Lots better than renting a carpet cleaner plus the cost of the cleaning solution.

I bent a guide & broke the insert on one of my Compre musky rods 2 weeks ago. Dropped it off at the P'Boro Shimano office and picked it up the next morning all fixed up and got a repair bill for $5.00 I was happy with that.

I bought a new 150 HP Yamaha last summer and it had a "Made in Japan" sticker on it. When I picked it up from the dealer they threw in a ball cap with the Yamaha logo on it but inside the cap was a "Made in China" sticker. It just struck me a really funny that even Japan is having some of their stuff manufactured "off shore"

Paul, your always a great source of information to the bass guys on this board and over the years I'm sure many have learned a great deal from your experience.

Just by coincident I also need a new 20 pounder and we have a trip planned to Costco today so if the tanks are that cheap there, I'll add one to my shopping list. Thanks boyz !!
