  1. Hey Brian, I thought your story was hilarious, and being as I'm one of those retarded folks, I think I want one of those doll houses with the little old man sitting at the end of my driveway
  2. My son was an iron worker for 20 years and back in the 90's the Canadian company he worked for was putting up 2 hi-rise buildings in China, one in Shanghai and another in Bejing. Jim was sent over there for 2 years to supervise the construction of the steel. His crews were mostly Chinese and Jim became very close friends with many of them and they'd often all head out to restaurants after work where they'd introduce him to many of the local delecacies. He really enjoyed alot of the dishes not available here but said many were just too brutal to even try. He said the worst experience was when they decided to have snake for dinner one night and placed the order. The waiter left, then came back to the table with a live 5' snake for their approval. When they decided that was the one they wanted, the waiter stood on the snakes tail and with one hand grabbed it by the head and stretched it out to it's full length, then with the other hand used a razor knife to gut and skin the snake right at the table while it was still alive. It was then taken away and cooked. Jim was very tough guy but said that was just too much for him and he was unable to even try it. He lasted longer than me though, I woulda left when the waiter 1st brought it out
  3. I've caught a few episodes of your show on WFN Jamie and it's lookin good, congrats bud !! You got any plans to be over this way this summer, it'd be real good to hook up with you again, maybe we can go get slimed at DSI
  4. Yeah, that's the picture I was talking about Eric, a real chunky fish, thanks for posting it again. Hard to believe it's already 8 years ago
  5. Hope you get a chance to get out there this winter Eric, I've always enjoyed reading your soft water winter reports over the years. I still recall a very fat pike you hauled in a few years back.
  6. Nope, not one myself, but I sure feel like I have one sitting on my shoulder sometimes
  7. Just sitting here putzing around on the puter and lookin out the den window at a beautiful start to the day. The sky is blue, the sun is getting ready to rise up over the horizon across Clear Lake, everything is covered in a fresh layer of white snow and 3 deer just walked down the road. Doesn't get much better than that.
  8. It's funny, I've spent a fair bit of $$$$ @ BPS yet I don't think I've ever received a catalogue from them, yet I've only purchased a couple items from Cabelas and receive catalogues from them regularily, infact even when I moved north I still get them even though I never informed them of the move.
  9. Exactly the same day we had over here Norm, Patches of clear sky and sunshine at 2, got everything cleaned up and now it's snowing quite hard again. Sure is purty though
  10. Funny you say that cause when I was a kid growing up in the 50's my dad had a 15' cedarstrip with a 25 HP Johnson Seahorse and that boat could wup anyone on the lake Hard to believe what we called BIG motors back then
  11. That's crazy fast on the water, it must be downright scary with a clean hull
  12. Good to hear life is still treating you well on the south side of the border Steve.
  13. Bruce, we had a similar experience at a wedding reception in Kingston 10 years ago. There was a choice of roast beef or chicken and everyone who ordered the chicken became extremely sick. Fortunately everyone in my family ate the beef. Sure did put a damper on an otherwise fun night.
  14. Wife and I went into a restaurant and I ordered fish & chips. Waitress asked if I wanted gravy on the chips and I said sure. Food was great but when I got my bill it was a dollar more than what was on the menu. I asked howcum it was a dollar more and she said we charge an extra dollar for the spoonful of gravy. I never went back to that restaurant again.
  15. When your running down the lake at 50 MPH on a cold frosty morning and it's pouring down rain, that full windshield is pretty darned nice. Add in a full stand-up top and your good to go. I've owned them all RG and now I wouldn't have anything else. As for the motor, I've been real happy with the 150 Yamaha but then again, my Merc was flawless for 8 years too.
  16. Waaaay back in the day I recall seeing the Miss Supertest at the Sportsman Show but darned if I remember if it was 1, 2 or 3. They had it propped up on a 45 degree angle so you could see inside the cockpit and I remember thinking how fast it looked without even moving.
  17. Same truck as mine Wayne, including the XTR package, and your gonna be very happy with the way she rides and handles.
  18. Thanks Blaque, that sounds like the one I was referring to. Appears the problem was caused in October so fortunately, I'm not affected.
  19. I also heard recentely about a recall on the Ford F-150's but so far I haven't been contacted by my dealer. If I don't hear by next week I'll give them a call. Something evidentely can short out causing a fire but details were sketchy at best.
  20. I plan on being there Norm, I'm only about 20 minutes away.
  21. Congratulations to your daughter Gerry and best of luck to her.
  22. Happy B-Day Cliff, all the best to ya !!
  23. It's a sad thing for sure.
  24. I agree with a couple of the posters above Bruce, stay away from the plastic holders if your gonna run the large musky baits. The pressure from the big lips can strip the plastic. Go with the Downeasters.
  25. Best of luck & hope you recover soon Dano, sounds like you've been having a tough time for awhile now.
