  1. Thanks Mike, I'm happy to hear I was wrong.
  2. I'm not going to the Fishing Show this year Dax but hopefully I'll see you at the Odyssey in April. Always a great day !!
  3. Thanks Chris, that's the lady I was thinking of. She had a pretty decent show for a couple years. Way back in my foggy memory I seem I remember she was somehow caught up in all that trouble with Henry & Italo, but hopefully I'm wrong on that one.
  4. Used to watch that one all the time Kelvin, it was a great show and really down to earth. I also remember from the same time period there was a lady that had a pretty good show but can't think of her name...Monagan or Magnason, something like that ?? Seems to me she was also from the Ottawa area.
  5. What about snow shoes Cliff, would that be feasible for you in the deeper snow ??
  6. Thanks Bernie, hopefully things will be back to normal this year as it was just a bit hairy at times running around the West Arm last summer. I'll be up there for a couple weeks again in August, so fingers crossed.
  7. Hey Bernie, are you folks getting enough snow up your way to replenish the low water levels on Nip from last year ??
  8. Four of us were sitting in a restaurant in Bridgenorth Friday evening with a good view of Chemong Lake and could see a vehicle out on the ice who seemed to have alot of trouble moving thru the snow. Couldn't tell if it was a car or truck but could see from the back-up lights coming off and on that he had a problem. Took a good 30 minutes before he got outta there. Lonely spot to be stuck after dark for sure.
  9. Thanks Simon, that's hilarious !!
  10. Definetely appears to be a tad breezy out there Joey but from the looks of those couple of fish it was worth it....Good stuff for sure !!
  11. I used to watch quite a few shows at one time but have pretty well stopped watching almost all of them lately as most of them are nothing more than infomercials now. Sad actually cause some of them used be really entertaining.
  12. Greg, if your interested in musky fishing you may want to take in the Musky Odyssee in St. Catherines in April, unles your already familiar with it. Lotsa vendors and some excellent seminars.
  13. Mike, I've got 4 flat screens on Bell HD boxes and satelite and the WFN picture quality is great, as is the commercials. Maybe check the easy stuff 1st and be sure everything is plugged in tight
  14. Thanks for the early mornin laugh Dan Have a great trip down to the Big Smoke !!
  15. Unless of course your a person who finds hard water fishing about as entertaining and exciting as watching bowling on TV
  16. That looks pretty good too Wayne !!
  17. And are you ready for this ?? Soft water can't come soon enough for me..... ....howz bout you ??
  18. In the house the radio is always tuned to "easy listening" on 100.5 FM from P'Boro In the truck it's 50's rock or Blue Collar Comedy on Sirius. Trouble with the Blue Collar stuff though is sometimes I'm laughing so hard I hafta pull off the road till their finished
  19. One night many years ago my car was parked in my driveway at 3:00 AM when another car came down the road far too fast, the driver couldn't negotiate the curve, went across the lawn and smashed into my vehicle, completely destroying it. Was it my fault for parking in the driveway ??... I don't think so. I think it's exactly the same thing when a snowmobile crashes into a stationary ice hut. Either the driver isn't paying attention to where he's going, or else he's driving too fast for the conditions. If it's dark, or snowing, or foggy or whatever, if you can't see well enough to stop in time.....slow down. I dunno how much simpler it can be
  20. Your living the good life for sure Ben !!
  21. For anyone that's interested, I use some of Mikes baits and their as good or better than any musky baits you'll find anywhere. Very good quality and extremely well made.
  22. Welcome to OFC Riley, you'll have alot of fun here reading all the stories and sharing your own fishing tales with us.
  23. That pan of smelts sure does look tasty Bruce and brings back many fond memories. I never tried catching them with a fish'n pole but used to spend alot of fun time back in the day catching them with a large dip net down along the shores of Lake Ontario.
  24. Atta boy Chris, ya did real good !!
  25. Thanks folks, glad you enjoyed the critter pics.
