  3. Shocking and very sad news indeed. We've definetely lost a very popular member of our group and I for one will always remember his very entertaining stories.
  4. Happy B-Day Brian & all the best to ya !! Enjoy the new camera.
  5. I filled up near Peterboro an hour ago for $1.21 which is the going rate around here for today, with the exception of Petro Canada who was at $1.29 but 10 minutes after I went by he dropped down to $1.21
  6. Absolutely Chris, ya hafta keep those big girls legal for the BBQ
  7. Your allowed to fish for them, you just can't keep one.
  8. You won't be laffing so much when the wheels fall off that clunker Pete
  9. My 2010 is safe too Rich but I'm also affected like you on the door issue. I had a letter from Ford saying the parts should start becoming available in May.
  10. I had a chance to drive a 6 cylinder a couple years back and was really amazed at how much power it really had. My brother owned one of the original '65s back in the day and I used to drive it as much as he did. Not much power from the little 289 but with the rag top down and 3 on the floor it was alot of fun. Sure would like to have it today !!
  11. And be absolutely certain that the lug wrench for your truck will also fit the lugs on your trailer.....cause they often don't.
  12. I've voted in every municipal, provincial & federal election for more than 40 years but the last time I voted, was definetely the LAST time I'll ever vote again. It's just getting too tough to pick the best of the worst anymore and I've got far more important things to occupy my mind.
  13. Sad news Dan and deepest condolances to your whole family. My dad also died on my son's birthday.

Plenty of guys bring their dogs Jer and they have as much fun as everyone.
  15. When I bought the new Skeeter 2 years ago it came on an excellent custom trailer manufactured by EZ Loader. It's got a swing away tongue, torsion axle, surge brakes, LED lights and the upgraded aluminum wheels. Only problem is, it's a single axle and with my heavy glass boat I just never really felt comfortable with it. The boat certainly falls within the load range of the trailer but I just wasn't happy with it. Today, I ordered a new traler with tandem axles and I'm now gonna feel much more comfortable on the long hiway trips I take several times a year hauling the boat. Again it's gonna be custom built to fit my hull exactly and has the same features as the single axle, with swing away tongue, surge disc brakes and upgraded wheels, but it's also gonna be painted to match the boat including pin striping. I'll get it in about 4 weeks and should enjoy the long trips much better now knowing I've got nearly twice the carrying capacity under the boat, plus if a tire blows it'll be much more stabil until I get it stopped. Here's the current single axle.
  16. One of the best men this country has ever produced.
  17. Best view in town from the office window too
  18. My condolances Jon, it's always tough to lose a bud.
  19. I was just watching Lunkerville last week and got to wondering when your show was gonna be on. Looking forward to seeing it.
  20. Sorry to hear about your recent tough luck Rick, but you've overcome bad times before and you'll do the same this time. Take care of yourself bud.
  21. Cliff, Shediac, New Brunswick is nicknamed the "Lobster Capital of the World" although I'm sure the town tourist board of the day came up with the name We did have some excellent lobster when we were there although it was mid-summer. Don't know if time of year makes a difference with lobster though
  22. Everything that Craig said, and then some, although when I was at Peggy's Cove 27 years ago it was early morning and we nearly had the place to ourselves. Guess things have changed over time We've taken a motorhome to the coast 3 times now and every trip has been fantastic. There's just sooooo many beautiful places to see you'll never even come close in one trip but you'll have a fantastic time seeing whatever you can. On one trip we took the St. Lawrence River route and crossed down into New Brunswick and then did PEI and on 2 other trips we took the ferry across Lake Champlaine (sp) then went thru Vermont, New Hampshire and up into Nova Scotia from there. Whatever route you take you'll have one of your best vacations ever and meet some of the nicest folks you'll ever come across.
  23. I'm gonna agree with aniceguy too. If you start out with a 20 year old boat you could be getting yourself into a whole bunch of problems. You should be able to buy a newer, complete rig for a decent price if you do some shopping.
  24. Very nice indeed.
  25. And you definetely don't want to ever post the pictures on the internet cause all the so-called "experts" will tear you apart.
