.....I sure did pick the wrong day to work outside in the sun all afternoon digging a new vegetable garden. It's sorta like working inside a pizza oven with that blazing hot sun beating down. The thermometer outside the window right now reads 35C and I'm lovin every minute of it. It's been a long, cool, wet spring so far so it sure is great to finally see some nice summer like weather.

I've probably seen your boat many times, I always use their ramp when I'm fishing Upper Buck.

This'll be me Addy, hopefully with a big stringer of muskies dragging behind C'mon over & say hey if you spot us. What boat will you be in ??

I'm probably gonna launch at Gannons Narrows Marina Phil but not sure of the time yet.

I'm heading to the shallow weed flats on Pigeon south of Gannons Narrows.

I had a couple Starcraft tillers back in the day and they were both excellent boats. You should get alot of good years out of your new boat.

I bought my F-150 new last year and 30 days after picking it up someone backed into it and left a 1/4" deep, 12" long gouge in the rear passenger door, then took off. I took it back to the dealer where they repaired the gouge and repainted the door for $400

Very sorry to hear the news Pete. I know Ben's been feeling rough for awile now and you said yourself it was only a matter of time, although that doesn't make it any easier. He was a great friend to you and your family for along time and your gonna have lotsa fond memories for many years. Condolances from myself, Diane, Sheri and Marvin.

This is somewhat similar... I purchased a new boat back in '99 and payed cash for the full price including all taxes. Couple years later I got a letter from the provincial government saying they needed proof that I'd payed the sales tax and and to send them a copy of the bill of sale, which I did. Two years after that I get yet another letter again telling me to send a copy of the bill of sale to prove I payed my tax. I figured they musta lost the 1st one so I obliged and sent in a 2nd copy. Sure enough, a couple years further down the road I get a 3rd letter from these dimwits telling me they needed proof I'd payed them their taxes. I totally ignored the 3rd letter and haven't heard anything back from them....yet, although I still have the original bill of sale just in case. Dealing with these govenment clowns can be one of the most frustrating things we ever have to do in our day to day living.

With the exception of Rice Lake, most of the waterways from Lakefield south to Trenton get quite narrow and with the huge volume of water flowing south the levels are high and the currents very strong in places. Lots more rain expected today so I don't spose that's gonna help much either.

I find it kinda strange that every post you've made since joining this board has been about Pete Maina. But maybe that's just me.
