For cranking batteries, be sure to shut off your boats master switch at the end of the day, cause if you don't, BOTH sonar units AND the GPS unit will continue running all night, and when you head down to the boat in the morning to go fishing again, your battery will be deader than dead....just like mine was at Lakair last Sunday

Absolutely NO problems here Dann and the reason I said right up front that your treats were given with my permission. Marvin eats those anyways, infact we bought him a bag of them yesterday. We're just putting Marvins illness down to bad luck with either too much sun or possibly injesting too much pollen in the water that all the dogs were all drinking. Sure hope you and Kelly re-consider nexy years g2g though Dann, as you guys always add alot to the week.

Thanks for the Lancaster video Peter, I always thought that was a very impressive plane and used to see it flying over Toronto for the Ex. I saw a TV show one time about ww2 planes and they rated the P-51 as one of the most important planes of the war as it was the 1st fighter escort that was able to take the bombers deep into Germany & back again. Before the Mustang, no escort could fly that far. -
For musky trolling I like 600 series Tekotas with line counters and 7'6" heavy Compres spooled with 100# Power Pro & 130# Seaguar fluoro leaders. It's a bit more $$$$ than Mikes talking about but it's a set-up that I like.

We're the same Chris and Marvin gets all his shots every year, although I can't honetly say if he got the one that Jewelbee is talking about. It could have been darned near anything that caused a few of the pooches to get sick. I know they all drank gallons of the lake water and they definetely took in alot of the pollen that was floating on the surface, but who knows ?? Just happy to know their all feeling better now !!

Good to hear the officer is gonna be OK !!

Just to clarify my original post, we left Marvin in the cottage while we went up for the feast, and he didn't go back up after dinner, so whatever came over him definetely DIDN'T have anything to do with the food we all ate.

Thanks Dax, some really great pictures there. I worked at Toronto airport back in '67 and we had a Mitchell stored in our hanger. Lotsa history to go along with those old girls and I'd sometimes sit in the cockpit and wonder if she was involved in any of the fighting during the war. She was bought by the Confederate AirForce from Texas and I stood on the ramp and watched her take off and that was definetely a sight to see. She was refurbished and I spose there's even a chance the one in your pictures is the same one. -
We appreciated both yours & Patsy's concern the last couple days Rich and you'll be happy to know the little guy is bouncing around here now like a little puppy. Guess he's making up for the couple days he lost when he was sick. And for what it's worth Rich, when we left camp yesterday morning we only travelled north about 1000' and there was a moose standing just 50' off to the side of the road. We were able to pull over for a bit to watch her but unfortunately my camera was still in the boat.

I got back late yesterday afternoon after 6 days at Lakair for our annual g2g and as always, it was a fantastic week with all the usual great people plus a few new ones to the gathering. I didn't take any pictures myself this year so it's good to see so many others posting their's. There's one thing I want to clear up though... As quite a few of you know, my little dog Marvin got very sick up there on Sunday afternoon, infact so sick that had there been a vet's office open in the area I would have taken him in to see what was going on. He was very healthy & playful and was having a ball with all the other dogs all week long with the swimming and constant playing. He's 15 years old now and slowing down somewhat, but still did his best to keep up with the bigger and younger dogs. He was feeling much better on Monday and by Tuesday he was 100% again, infact he was feeling so good that when he fell off the end of the dock on Tuesday he never even flinched and used it as another excuse to keep on swimming We think his problem was too much sun and possibly a bit of heat stroke and are very thankful that he's better now. It was suggested up there on Sunday, and again in another post here yesterday that a member of our group was intentionally feeding something to our dogs for the sole purpose of making them sick. The person who supposedly did this asked me last week if my dog could have one of the treats and I said yes because it's something my dog eats on a regular basis and never has a problem with them. Most of the dogs at the g2g were at my cottage Sunday morning and all were in great spirits and having a blast playing with each other, including my dog. Most of them went home on Sunday so I'm not sure when they got sick but they were all fine the last time I saw them. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that the treats that were given out by the member in no way had anything to do with Marvin becoming sick. Accusations have been made but not proven, and I don't think we've heard the end of this yet but I want it known that I personally don't believe what's been said and want to completely distance myself from any further problems that may arise from this.

I'm far from a mechanic but was always under the impression that if you were looking to improve performance, you basically need to upgrade both intake & exhaust as one without the other wouldn't make much difference.

When I ordered my 150 last year Dave I had them include an Xtang Solid Fold and it's an excellent cover. Very strong but folds up outta the way for higher objects or can be totally removed in a couple minutes. Something to look at anyways. http://www.extang.com/docs/solidfold.html

Been a LOT of years since I fished for bass, but back in the day it was fast moving spinnerbaits or jerkbaits, and early morning, late evining not much would ever beat minnow baits twitched on the surface. Never did find the patience for dragging rubber baits on the bottom though.

Fantastic story Mike and a whole bunch of great fish. I can't see alot of the pictures, something about bandwidth being exceeded, but what I can see are excellent. -
Been there, done that Paul, and any day spent fishing with Roy is definetely a great day of fishing....even if we did get skunked !!
