  1. But the nitrogen filled tires on my F-150 sure do look purty with the fancy green valve caps.
  2. Pretty sure that recall is for older 150's Brian but I may be wrong on that too.
  3. Your friend was definetely lucky Dave, that coulda been a very $$$$ repair and is the exact reason to check the prop shaft every now and then. I also pull the prop on my bow mount every once in awhile and check it too as I've had line wrapped around that shaft as well.
  4. That's a great tip Dave and probably something alot of guys don't know about.
  5. I don't do the Facebook thing Mike, but we made a recent donation towards the cancer fight and hopefully everything together will make a difference soon.
  6. You know your welcome anytime Brian, and you can even do all your hunting without leaving the back deck. It'll save all that tree climbing you enjoy so much
  7. I like my wood fires on a cold snowy evening Wood stove downstairs in the family room Fireplace upstairs in the living room
  8. You could have something there Mike, maybe I'll bring a big fattie home from LSC in a couple weeks
  9. Actually Roy, my garden was a bit of a flop this year. Tomatoes and beans were so-so and the cucumbers hardly even broke ground thru the ground. Good thing there's a farmers market just down the road
  10. You've always been a true friend to the younguns Roy
  11. Cliff, I've got a rather spendy stainless prop on my motor. Two years ago when I was heading to Lakair, the water was down about 4' and rather than taking a chance on smashing it on a rock, I went to the local marina and bought a regular rather in-expensive prop that was sposed to work on my motor. Same as your friend, as soon as I'd hit around 2500 RPM's the prop would just spin on the hub and the engine would rev high. No other choice but to take it off and put the good one on and just keep my fingers crossed.
  12. I've got a few 8' x 6x6 beams laying around here, so I'm gonna use them to prop the trailer up this season rather than my axle stands. Their gonna lay along the frames either sides of the wheels to even the load and give more support all over. As you say Wayne, it just takes the load off alot of parts.
  13. I run Marine Stabil in my 150 four stroke all year, then at the end of the season I put in some extra and fill the gas tank right up. I pull the plugs and spray a bit of fogger into each cylinder, replace the plugs and hit the key a couple time on & off fast just to move the pistons a bit and then shut her down till the spring time. Do the other fluids, grease what needs it and your good to go. Most years I jack the trailer up and put it on blocks just to take the load off the tires, although I didn't do that last year. Anybody else put the trailer on blocks ??
  14. Great video TJ !! I've got scat in the back yard, foot prints in the driveway, garbage bins getting busted open up and down the road and sightings all around me, but I've yet to meet Mr. Bruin in person myself . Always got the camera nearby though.
  15. I got an 8 pound large mouth from the Kawarthas a few years back and for this area that really is an outstanding fish, even to a serious bass angler...which I'm not. Many would have called it a monster, a giant or even a behemoth. A tournament bass guy from southern Florida or Mexico would have called it a ho-hum fish and not given it a 2nd look. Lotsa variables when describing a fish.
  16. How many fish does Baby La La catch from the couch ??
  17. That's the kinds stuff we like to hear
  18. Anyone who cancels a fishing trip because of an east wind is missing out on catching fish.

It was definetely a fun day Brian but I don't think I'll be at the g2g next June, but a group of us will be up there for 2 weeks in August. And don't forget those leaders

  21. Same stuff here Dara, I maintain everything myself except my truck, just too much hassle there. As for the beer, the last time I drank one I think it was about $10 for a two/four
  22. So far today I've seen 1 car, 1 pick-up, a raccoon & 2 red squirrels on my road. Gotta luv rush hour in the boonies
