  1. For sure Pete, and it's always good to have you along to work the net
  2. Well Wayne, you just told the whole world you've got some kind of automatic camera gizmo taking pictures of your driveway.
  3. This is from the rule book Mike. ++++Please do not post VERY SPECIFIC information on fishing spots, ie pinpoint locations and maps. It is our belief that sharing this type of knowledge to the general public is not at all good for the resource itself. When communicating info on spots, please keep it to email or a PM.+++++
  4. The only deer shooting I do is with my point & shoot in the back yard Bob
  5. Any excuse to go fishing is a good one Sam
  6. Yeah, that was probably us Bruce, we headed south around 1:30 or so. Good luck when you head back out today.
  7. Don't see too many deer this time of year Roy, but there's loads of them as soon as the snow arrives. Seems like the woods around here are where they all yard up for the winter and then their everywhere.
  8. More times that I care to admit Joey Thanks guys, it was a fun day for sure !!
  9. My daughter and I headed over to Pigeon for a few hours today looking for a musky or 2 but never found any this time around. We hit up all our usual spots and found nothing so we ran down into Upper Buck for an hour but still came up empty. We always have alot of fun together on the water and that's what it's all about. If we get skunked we just say we were out for a boat ride. Like I always say , you don't need to catch a fish to have a great day of fishing. Water temps were in the mid 60's and the weeds are still plentiful, green and healthy. Hi-lite of our day was having a few deer wander down to the waters edge for a drink close to where we were casting and I was able to get a couple pics. Two of them still had their spots so I'm guessing they were just out for a stroll with Mom.
  10. If you get the seperate GPS with the appropriate chip for where your fishing, it'll show the contours and drop-offs very clearly. You can also track and save your movements plus leave markers on your screen to come back to an exact spot if you want. A perfect example...couple years back we were trolling a deeper weedflat on Stoney and I was explaining to my daughter how the GPS works. It showed a 7' hump off to the right and I told Sheri how a musky will often sit on top of them. We changed course, went over the hump and sure enuff, we hooked a musky. Their an excellent tool for sure.
  11. Only a personal preference, but I like to use a seperate dedicated GPS, rather than a split screen with sonar/GPS combo. If your gonna get a smaller screen unit like a 5" and then split that, you're gonna be looking at very small images. Just my dime anyways Roger.
  12. Muskies luv chickens Roger, all different colours of chickens I'm outta here in an hour
  13. I do all my own stuff too and find an articulated socket wrench can sometimes save alot of aggrevation for getting at the sparkplugs that are tucked away in hard to get at spots.
  14. I'm another one that doesn't really see the purpose in weighing average sized fish. If your fishing a tourney or perhaps catch a possible PB I spose it makes sense but I never did understand guys weighing 2 pound pickeral or 3 pound bass To each their own though
  15. It's been a couple years since I bought any, but my last batch came from Stacey Ash at Pro Tackle. http://www.protacklemuskyshop.com/cataloguetackle.php?td=type&idd=&display=Jerk Bait&offset=25
  16. I think if everybody was actually as good a driver as THEY think they are, there'd be FAR less accidents on the hiways & biways. Slow down and pay attention folks, the life you save may be my family.
  17. Fraid your too late Bruce, I no longer uses Suicks. I pretty well got away from them a couple years back in favour of the Sledge. A similar bait to a Suick but it puts alot more fish in the boat. I've still got a box of them though for whenever I tire of Sledges
  18. Hey Bruce, my daughter and I are fishing the top of Pigeon on Saturday, you guys gonna be on Pigeon all weekend or you moving around ??
  19. And the worst part is, most of them aren't even aware of the chaos their creating as they slam and bang their way across the city
  20. ALL roads in and out of Toronto are insane during both morning and evening rush hour but as Frankie said, before 6:00 Am is not usually a problem and again in the evening is usually good. The hours in between rush hours aren't usually too bad, but if there's construction or an accident somewhere, then it can get nasty.
  21. I agree with Jer, there's always a couple weeks notice, the outage is usually shorter than they speculate and it's never a big deal at all.
  22. hahahaha
  23. I've never found anywhere nicer than Ontario and there's still plenty of musky spots I haven't fished yet, so I'll stay right here thanks
  24. Your more than welcome Miracon, asking questions is how we all learn stuff.
  25. Thanks for the article Eric, some good reading there. Don't hear much about Craig these days but his name used to pop up quite a bit a few years ago I sat in on one of his seminars several years ago at the Spring Fishing Show and found it to be very interesting. He's definetely right about trolling big spinnerbaits over top of the weeds though as they sure do catch some nice fish.
